Salam,
My name is Dela. The full name is Nur Dela. I'm a PIRL artist. Some of my old friends call me Dede with no explanation. I'm in the progress of learning English and sometimes using Google Translator. So forgive me if my English are bad. I do have a job. I'm a teacher. My students usually call me 'the teenage teacher' cause I act like grade six. I teach at elementary grade five. I teach Social (IPS). Social in my lesson also includes history. I like MLP : FIM, my favorite characters are the Apple Family especially Applejack and Derpy Hooves. Maybe only this for a moments.

I use GIMP...recently switched to version 2.8...was using 2.6 until "Into the Fire [PIRL]" it's like photoshop but for free...you can recreate most PS effects manualy if you ahve a bit of knolege...the only thing that is better about photoshop that I found so far, ist the transform-tool has a bit more options there ^^

I used Paint.NET for a while..that was like my first experience with graphics-stuff..I was like 12 or so xDDD I sucked at it ^^ But I never heard of SAI..or I just forgot about it, you never know xD
I can recomend GIMP to everyone, but why get a fancy programm if you are fine with the stiff you're using ^^
BTW, how do you do your shading? dodge and burn or via layers? I prefer layers, because you can edit it way easier and it's overall easier to "controll" ^^

I was like that with GIMP at first too xD it's waaaay different from paint.NET but then one day I just sat down and messed around with every single effect I could find...the picture looked horrible xD
but from that day on I just used it from time to time and got better with it...but if someone asks me, how to learn the GFX.stuff, I have no idea becasue my way wasn't the best and I srsly have no idea how I even came so far with it xD

I had some experience with GFX-stuff like wallpapers and signatures, so I knew the prgramm I am using pretty well and also that's why I use all those fancy effects xD
