All I know about it is it's a kind of badge that if you have it shows in the top right corner of your profile. If you look to the top right you see a golden-colored llama thingy xD
They have multiple uses, since you can actually trade them for points but only 1 llama per 1 point. You can also give them to people if you enjoy their work, admire them, or just want to thank them! There are many different badges, but the llama badge is the most common
