I'm looking to go all the way to Airline Pilot. I'm hoping to fly for Alaska, or possibly Southwest. MAYBE United. but these days, there are so few good American international carriers. back in the 70's and 80's, we had National, Eastern, Western, Braniff, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Pan Am, Pacific Southwest Airlines (PSA), Northwest, Continental, American, United, Delta.
now, all we have is United, American, and Delta for international carriers. and they're all horrible
National merged with Pan am. Pan am went bust. Eastern went bust, Western merged into Delta, Braniff went bust, TWA merged with American, PSA merges with USair, Northwest merged with Delta, and Continental merged with United. and now US Airways is merging with American.Β

no, I'm just really interested in commercial aviation history. hell, I love all the old propliners of the 1950s. Jetliners didn't start to be introduced until 1958. The first 747 delivery went straight to Pan Am in 1968
