We aren't! I can't believe there's only one year of high school left! I've always dreamed of going to college and such, but at the same time, it's upsetting that things have gone by so fast. I feel like I haven't done much of anything...

I am full of neuroticism. It is my predominant trait.

Anyway. You should be GLAD we're not juniors anymore! Senior year is here and it's a new slate; junior year sucked. Now we have a chance to make this our very best year yet! I've got to get started on college apps - but first I have to pare down my college list. It has 19 schools on it. My dad said I should have about 10. INCLUDING safety schools. It's going to be hard. But I'm excited. Maybe we can get together (HA!) and work on college research/apps together. (we're so cool!)

Also, did I tell you I'm going to learn Chinese in college?

I'd be up for that! First I have to pick out colleges though. I've been really bad about avoiding a true college search. I'm lazy like that. Rice, Pamona, and Northwestern are up high on my list, but ... that's pretty much the whole list.

Anyway. My college list (uncut) is Bates, Bowdoin, Brown, Carelton, College of William and Mary, Earlham, Grinnel, Haverford, Kalamazoo, Macalester, Middlebury, St. Olaf, Swarthmore, Wesleyan, Austin College, Illinois Wesleyan, Knox, Lawrence, College of Wooster.
Blegh.
That list comes from me going through TWO ENTIRE COLLEGE BOOKS and reading EVERY SINGLE ARTICLE about EVERY SINGLE COLLEGE that fit my parameters (of academic rigor, size, etc)

Basically, I'm a freak.

Stop snickering over there. I can't decide which ones to cut. I'm going to go through my OTHER college book and cull the ones that aren't academically intense enough for me, I think.

You should try it out! It's really time consuming and it gets annoying, reading the almost same thing about a hundred colleges...but it's really helpful.
