have you thought on remaking the "real life" gods that humanity believed in as utterly alien entities?, for example imagine the aboriginal Rainbow Serpent as a serpentine cosmic entity made of cosmic strings and every type of electromagnetic waves plus all colors of light.

I once had a somewhat similar thought like that, but I am too busy with other things (I hope to draw more original alien species, maybe remake some older alien drawings (in color and with more detailed background stories), and work on my dark fantasy world building project).

hello, about your hypothetical dark fantasy setting with sci-fi elements, what if eldritch abominations had evolved in their own strange planets and gas giants and other celestial bodies like stars, black holes, before becoming spacefaring entities?, some cosmic horrors may be naturally spaceborne too, living in nebulae, interstellar space, intergalactic space and supervoids, or even weirder locations like strange dimensions.

I already made my decision about my eldritch horrors (also I still need to work out a lot of other details and stuff for the setting, as you can tell by this comment (comments.deviantart.com/4/1513β¦ ), but I still appreciate your suggestions.
By the way what is your opinion on the fantasy genre?

in my opinion the fantasy genre seems to overuse the same races like elves, orcs, dwarves all the time, dragons can still be cool but dragons need more variety too!, also more fantasy needs weirder eldritch creatures with alien appearances and alien shapes instead of familiar faces.
