If they-Bryke- was going to be a comic, they damn well should've not picked the Zuko progressiving becoming the person he hates trope. It's overused and not even credible. I mean, Iroh himself said that Zuko has unquestionable honor, becoming his father would be the last thing on his mind. Two, Aang starting a fight with his soldiers and even attacking Zuko himself. First, he agrees with the stupid prmoise, then he instigates fights? He wouldn't kill Ozai under extreme provocation, now he thinks he has to kill his friend if he goes insane and agressively attacks his soldiers. What a fucking hypocrite!!
You are totally right about Katara in the comics, I seriously beginning to hate her now. Why would she agree on that idiotic promise when she and Zuko saved each other's lives? She could've let him die from his wounds from Azula if that was even the case. What's even more heartbreaking, is that Mai not only cares about Zuko more than Katara in the comics, but she's showing actual emotions. One of the reasons I hated Maiko was that Mai was too apathetic for Zuko while Katara is the exact opposite. I think the switcheroo is Bryke deliberating crushing any kind of even friendly Zutara moment in this comic. And it's making me more furious than ever for the series.

What does anyone think of the new released panels of the A:TLA "The Promise" comics? Me and daydreamer22 were discussing it a couple of minutes ago and we agree that it makes us sick! Here's what my friend said
"To be honest, what I saw in those panels made me furious. How dare they do that to Zuko?! Hasn't he been through enough already? Iroh already taught him what's important in life and he already found himself and accepted his destiny in A:TLA. He became the good, kind-hearted person he was meant to be! So why are they ruining his character development? He has already dealt with his father issues, he would never go crazy with power like his father, come on!
Don't even get me started on the "sweetie" crap. I wouldn't like that silly shit even if I was a hardcore Kataanger, it's just ridiculous!
Since we haven't gotten the whole story yet, I can't truly speak my mind about this, but from what I've seen so far, I have a feeling I won't like "The Promise" at all."
