no i've seen screenshots it definitely is not 3-D (YES Thank you!) but man it looks kinda confusing cuz there's all this stuff happening in one battle. It's kinda like Smash Brothers melee but 2-D and the battle system has added a few things. As a GG fan I must say I gotta play it reeeaalll bad
