Honestly, it's because in some other journal, someone made a remark about being dragged onto a typical "hero's journey" story despite being highly reluctant to do so. And I responded with the TV Tropes link to the trope that described it the best way . And that's how that happened. I barely have any knowledge of the contest, much less involvement in it.
