How is your summer break going?

Really great! I was actually studying abroad in Britain during the month of June, which was incredible. Now I'm just back at home for the summer, trying to cram as much Japanese into my head as I can handle. ^_^

My summer has been going good. I am busy preparing for Midwest Brony Fest, and Bronycon. I am also busy getting prepared to go back to college this fall. I've decided that I would like more than an Associates. I'm not gonna like, I am extremely envious that you get to go to Japan. Ganbatte!

The conventions only keep me occupied for the next two weeks. I am actually really excited: What can probably only be described as my best friend, who is going to Baltimore with me, has decided to come to Kansas City a week early, so we basically get to hang out for two weeks (when I'm not at work that is.) Then I start classes on the 19th at JCCC. And with any luck, I start on my BS from KU next fall.
Kind of sucks that I am going to be in school. I think it will help me further advance my career, but in IT it's more about the certifications and experience. Since I have some of both, by the time I get out of college, it shouldn't be too hard for me to find a job somewhere. I am not doing it just for the future career possibilities though that is a nice bonus, I am doing it more for the sense of accomplishment. I am still undecided, but as of right now, I am tentatively going for a Masters Degree. I really want it, but it is going to cost so much, and take so long. That is why I am so undecided. I do know that I wish I had started on this a long time ago though. Oh well, I guess better late than never.
Sorry about the wall of text, I just kind of started going there, and I lost track. Hope you don't mind.

Nah, I don't mind at all. Happy to hear what's been going on in your life. ^_^ Can't say I know much about IT, but it sounds like you've got a pretty good plan. School's tough, of course, but I always hear that it's worth it, both for having that accomplishment and for getting jobs. I bet you'll do great.

School isn't that hard, I've been through it once, I can do it again. I am not going to lie, it isn't going to be easy. But I can do it again. What about you, how is your schooling going, I mean, other than studying abroad?

Pretty good! I've kept my GPA pretty high, which gives me a nice cushion if adjusting to Japan this coming year affects my grades. Next year will be especially tough, but if I've survived up through now, I'm pretty confident I'll be able to deal with it. It'll definitely be a big change, though.

It's always good to keep your grades up, I personally.... wait, are you classes going to be in Japanese? That might take some getting used to. But, it also depends on how good you are at Japanese.
I hope to someday go to Japan, maybe if I keep working, I can save up money and go when I graduate. I should probably start studding the language then.

No, thank goodness. Aside from my actual Japanese language class, my classes will be in English. I don't think I'd be able to manage other classes in Japanese just yet.
And if you've got the time, then it's definitely a cool language to learn. ^_^ Of course, I also hear that the Tokyo area in particular is pretty friendly to English-speakers, so it's probably not that big of a deal unless you want to stay there for a long time.

Well thats good, nothing like a language for a learning curve. I have studied a little Japanese on my own, but I stoped when I was finishing college to I could focus on finishing, I never picked it back up. Really wishing I had. And now that I am going back to college, I am not sure that I will be able to. Maybe I'll find time sooner or later.
Your are going to have to post lots and lots of pictures of Toukyou (No idea how to type in Hiragana on a Chromebook).

System settings -> language and text -> input sources. You can set it up to type in hiragana that way, pretty easy once you get the hang of it.
And I hadn't even thought about it since I'm not much of a photographer, but now that you mention it, I'll be sure to get up pictures from my travels here on deviantArt. ^_^ Still have nearly two months until I leave, though, so don't expect anything soon.

I have, for the moment at least. I might take it back up, maybe with my 3DS since I enjoy coloring on there a lot more. Right now I've been wanting to focus on the writing, as well as just been dealing with everything else that's been going on in my life this summer.
