# About me
I am a Christian. I am a wife and the mother of two beautiful children. I enjoy many things in life. Art is one of them. I grew up in a little town called Gibsonville in the beautiful state of North Carolina. I loved my childhood and much of my artistic inspiration comes from that magical time in my life. I married my wonderful husband when I was 22 years old and we welcomed our first child into the world in 2008 and our second in 2013. They are two of the greatest blessings God has given me and the are first in my life above all things on Earth.I have many things which I enjoy and art is one of them. I love to observe the work of great artists and I also love to draw. When I was younger I used to draw all the time but I fell out of it. I can't really say why. Perhaps it was lack of motivation. A few years ago my passion for art was rekindled during a time when my family made the difficult choice to relocate. We moved to Arizona and there I regained my desire to draw. I've been practicing on and off ever since and though I am still very much a beginner and don't consider myself a seasoned artist, I believe I have grown a lot in these last couple of years. I now plan to take my artistic pursuit a step further. That is why I have opened this account. I plan to draw a little everyday and post my attempts here. I believe this will help me stay motivated and help me to grow even more.
I draw my inspiration from many things. As I said before, my childhood memories are a very large part of what inspires me. I'm also hugely inspired by this beautiful planet that God has given us. Nature is such an important part of art, and anything pertaining to nature is beautiful to me. I love Disney, especially the classic 2D animated films such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Robin Hood. I'm greatly inspired by fantasy and magical. Mermaids, fairies, elves, unicorns and other magic creatures interest me greatly. I'm very interested in different world cultures and I love history. Ancient Egyptian, Asian, Greek and Roman history come to mind particularly. Early European history is also very inspiring to me ranging from The Middle Ages to the Renaissance all the way to the late 1900's. I'm very inspired by mythology. I find almost any culture's mythology to be quite fascinating. I also love fashion, dolls, books, swimming, going for walks, intricate architecture and anything else that I find interesting, unique and beautiful.
