I've been getting back into photography and really enjoying sharing little snap shots of my life and things around me that inspire me to keep going (Though eventually I'm really going to have to buy another camera).
I love writing and although I'm not going to post anymore writing (at least not for awhile) I continue to write poetry now and then and what most people don't know is much more frequently I write songs (which I have not posted.. suffer).

Favourite genre of music: Country! But I listen to most everything even rap... rarely.. very very rarely
Favourite photographer: Just discovered Art Wolfe.. I really like him so far
Favourite style of art: I honestly love all styles, but I personally write a lot, songs, stories, poems, etc and photography

Wallpaper of choice: no wallpaper, paint is fine, hehe

Just wanted to drop by and say that you have a wonderful little gallery. I absolutely LOVE your photos of your horse--a true beauty indeed! I'm sure that you absolutely love taking her out for a good ride. I know that I would! I have always loved horses and always wanted to become involved with them but I never had the opportunity to because of finances or anything else.

The cost of horses can be rough, hay prices are high so the cost of horses has mainly gone down but you still gotta buy that pricey hay. Thanks for stopping by and I hope to talk to you in the future

I used to have a couple of horses a few years back and I remember that buying the hay was probably the most costly thing about their upkeep. However, horses are definitely worth it, I think. I'm the type that likes to make sure my pets are healthy and happy, you know?

Thanks! I really hope to become an owner of some horses again in the near future. My boyfriend doesn't really care for horses much, or any hoofed animal for that matter, though. It's just that he's afraid of them because he might get hurt by them. I'm partially afraid of horses, too, though, because when I was younger I did get hurt by a horse. However, I love horses a lot and I know that with anything practice comes into play. I'm sure if I train and practice enough that I will become a master horseman. It's basically all about the bond you create with the horse, I think.

I agree, it's the bond and speaking the language and finding a way to communicate to them that you're not going to hurt them.
Aw, sorry about your boyfriend not liking them, I'm very fortunate, my boyfriend loves that I ride horses and loves to ride with me, it makes everything a lot more fun

Aww, well that's neat! I'm sure that some day or the other my boyfriend will ease into the idea of being around horses. With me he's going to have to suck it up sooner or later. Yeah, my boyfriend is 6'5". He's a big fella especially compared to someone so short (I'm only 4'10").

South Carolina's really gorgeous. A lot of places to shop and a lot of other entertainment as well. Great place for tourists. Getting used to the summer heat is something else, though. Gets to be REALLY hot so it's not weather for the jeans loving type. The spring time is the best season here. It stays a perfect 70 degrees most of the time and there are so many wonderful flower trees that bloom.

It get's super hot down here too, sometimes 110 or more, lol luckily the summer was a bit more mild last year (90's), I wonder if we will get so lucky this year

Lol, so I guess I could handle it, it can get pretty humid and that's when it really sucks. Also the air is filthy, I've heard the valley has the worst air in the U.S. ... That's pretty disgusting!!! I plan to move out of here one day, I'm not sure where to, but I would love to do some traveling in the meantime to see what I like and just for the sake of traveling alone is always a good enough reason.

I agree, I would love to see the Azores because I'm Portuguese and my dad and relatives are from the Azores (mainly Faial)I would also like to see Pico, it was where my vava (Portuguese for grandma) was born and lived until she married my vovo (Portuguese for grandpa) and they moved to where he lived, which of course was Faial where my vovo worked painting houses for a living and sense those houses by law had to be painted every so years or months, he always had work. So I want to go back to where my dad was born and learn the full history

No unfortunately I do not barrel race YET! I've never had anywhere to do it or a horse that I could do it on, however this fall I'm starting school with a rodeo team and I think horses could be provided, I desperately want to join as I love rodeo and have wanted to participate my whole life, so if you want to talk to someone about it, I love talking about rodeo and horses and would love to learn from a seasoned rider such as yourself, friend me?

Yeah, I'm really excited, I got this great horse a couple years ago who is just amazing and has given me such a great deal of confidence so I'm really excited to hopefully get into some rodeo, I'll keep you posted if I ever get to do that

I don't ride very much during the winter, it's usually a bit wet and slippery, I like riding during the summer, but our summers can get really hot and humid so it's not healthy to ride too much, but during the spring and fall I try to ride at least a few days out of the week. I'm probably not doing anything this weekend, I never really have any plans, how about yourself?
