I was originally inspired by Fullmetal Alchemist, I don't know if you've heard about it
but that was anime and manga series that inspired me to become a writer and well I've always wanted to be a manga writer but since I'm a white guy I don't think I'll have a shot

It is worth a show isn't it? I mean what the hell if that fails I could makes this a graphic novel series
so here's the first portion of what I can give you,
Outer Odyssey is a science fantasy/science fiction story taking place in the far-future( precisely 4556) where mankind has perfected the use of F.T.L travel (faster than the speed of light travel) through the creation of devices called Ballista’s(large machines similar to mass drivers) and the discovery of aether, a renewable resource discovered on the sixth closest moon to Jupiter, Europa. Discovered in the year 2510 by an exploration probe launched from Mars, aether is produced by life forms similar to giant tube worms called Air Pipes. The air pipes are able to produce large quantities of aether when they ingest hydrogen and when it is pressurized through the proper machinery, aether can be used like steam engine. When combined with the Ballista’s launching force, aether can propel a space craft through space at incredible speeds. The ships utilizing this revolutionizing travel method are called “ARKs”. These massive space ships are designed with state of the art technology possessing advanced living conditions in order to transport people, plants, water, food and animals to planets fit for colonization. But until their destination is reached the ARKs are left in control of the “ghost crew”; a collection of robots keeping the ship in working condition and safeguarding the humans and cargo aboard. When the ARKs land, they undergo a reconstruction process that repurposes them into mega structures for the colonists to live in until planets can undergo a terraforming process.

When they began their journey into outer space the ultimate discovery mankind expected to confirm was that they would finally come into contact with other intelligent beings and eventually they did, only to learn that this encounter was just one of many. The alien’s that made contact with mankind were the Nefalian’s, whose ancestors as they explained attempted to colonize Earth during the time of Ancient Greece. A powerful empire at the time the Nefalian’s lead a mass species exodus to earth in hopes of founding a new capital where they could influence and control members of every alien species. Mythological creatures such as Minotaur’s, Gorgon’s, Centaur’s and others were in fact aliens that were given the chance to establish colonies on a new world. Colonizing earth at such an early time made mankind perceive these arrivals as Gods or demons. The Nefalian’s provided mankind with shelter, food and etc. in exchange for servitude, while the other alien species treated them as vermin, game or even prey. Before the colonization of earth could ever truly commence members of the Nefalian’s race suddenly came together and formed a group opposed to the colonization of earth, this group of rebels were forever known as the Titans by the human race. Igniting a rebellion for the sake of the human race the Titans were led by Prometheus, a former Nefalian military leader who enabled the progress and growth of human civilization, making him a champion of mankind. When their numbers were great enough the war between the Titans (pro-human freedom Nefalian’s) and the Gods (pro-colonization Nefalian’s) began and soon enough other races were convinced to join the battle by the Gods but spent most of the time, they were hunting/enslaving humans instead of fighting the Titans. The first ten years of war made the Titans realize that in order to turn the tide in their favor, they would need to bring something new into the conflict and so they chose to bring humanity into the war. With the remaining few Titan leaders taking human wives, Human-Nefalian hybrid children born and these children were born. There were countless hybrids during the Nefalian civil war; Achilles, Hector, Leonidas, Odysseus, Perseus and countless more waged war against the God’s. Each Hybrid commanded an army of humans behind them, fighting against both the Gods and other alien species that opposed since at this point many Titans had either been killed or captured by the God’s. The war finally came to end when the Hybrid and remaining Titan’s combined their forces on a final assault against the God’s domain, Mount Olympus; the Nefalian colony and base of operations. When it fell to the Hybrid/Titan forces the remaining Nefalian forces now without leaders retreated from Earth, while the other aliens were wiped out during the aftermath of war. With the Earth freed mankind was at long last able to freely mold their future, while the Titans chose to live out their days isolated from mankind from within the ruins of Olympus. As for the Hybrids, some lived peaceful lives in seclusion with those dear and close to them, some were worshiped for their power and others ostracized by the people who came to fear them just as quickly as they idolized them.
With this forgotten history brought back into the light the leaders of humanity became increasingly more cautious in their exploration of space as they feared that other alien races might seek open conflict with them. A result of paranoia and cultural indifferences, many aliens along with humanity established territorial regions of space along with borders to prevent hostile invasion and secure areas surrounding their home worlds. This dividing of space has prevented all-out interstellar war, but over time the tension of having a possible enemy as a neighbor has caused isolated interspecies conflicts to occur. Only time will tell if this interspecies equilibrium of quite anxiety is shattered by clamorous violence or peaceful coexistence.

But with mankind living in the age of galactic exploration, making contact with other intelligent races and even unraveling the mysteries of galaxy, the existence of one man still eludes members of the human race who seek to solve it. Those who pursue him, he has been classified as a both terrorist and potential WMD. What makes this man targeted by those who pursue him is that possesses access to highly advanced technology that could be considered “alien” and in the wrong hands could in danger billions of lives. Many groups who learned of its existence have gone to great lengths to obtain what this man possesses or even study it in hopes of manipulating the power it holds inside of it. This is known simply as The Enigma, a being that is half human and half something else.
The plot of Outer Odyssey follows Edward Ridley, a courier for smuggler’s guild and his motley crew of a ship known as “The Icarus” as at first he is charged with transporting two children halfway across the galaxy in exchange for a large payment of money. But as he and companions grow closer to reaching their destination, mystery’s surrounding Ed and his past will come to light and with them his connection to future events that will either preserve the safety of the entire galaxy and those within it or ultimately destroy it.

did you read about the main character? I changed his name to Edward Ridley, I guess you can think of him as a futuristic Edward Elric from FMA, plus I'm kinda trying to make a love interest fro him, think you can help me out a bit? plus remember that whole greek mythology thing I'm incorporating into the story, well think of Ed as Achilles in terms of fighting ability, I guess he's pretty much a badass when he fights, just like Brad Pitt in Troy lol
