Herr Stick is a mysterious being whose origins are not quite... well-known. Male or female? Who knows? How about neither, it's a stick... but if that's the case, how does it even reply to questions? HOW DOES THAT WORK!?Is known for being rather eloquent in speech for an inanimate wooden object, but a little abrupt with a habit of trailing off and abusing the use of the ellipses. For obvious reasons it mixes random German words into it's sentences, but it isn't actually German in origin (this much we know). It is believed that the stick uses a form of telepathy to communicate, but then again maybe all of its 'friends' are just nutters.
Herr Stick can in fact move. No one is exactly sure how or why, but it somehow manages to do it. It's like fate: wherever Herr Stick needs to be, it will be there. Whenever something must be said, it is said. The oddity of this being has driven several parties quite insane, but no one knows or cares about those guys. Really.
Known owners thus far:
France (used to beat Spain after his armada was defeated) Germany (best friends forever during WWI) Bulgaria (used to beat Italy) Italy (used to stir pasta during the Pict invasion of Earth)Egypt's stick and Japan's stick are not Herr Stick, but different entities altogether. It is debated as to whether or not they are related.

A warm, Autumn afternoon; with chirping songbirds, and soft sunlight. A gently breeze scuffed a few crisp leaves across the intricately-patterned pavement, where a blonde girl garbed in Swiss military gear was pouring tea into a porcelain saucer, then setting it down in front of a place set up for... a stick. Not just any stick, though. Herr Stick, perhaps one of the most infamous -and feared - names in history. Liechtenstein relied on the stick for military support, and she felt it only fair to try and return some of the kindness.
After a few minutes of polite conversation, Liechtenstein perked her head in the direction North, near Germany's house, where she heard the senior nation's dogs barking again - probably at that Italian who so often invaded his yard.
"Say, Herr Stick, in all of your years with service to Germany, have you ever had a mishap with any of his dogs?"

Herr Stick sat perched and content with the tea that Liechtenstein poured, even though it couldn't really drink it.. at least in a way anyone might understand. So far no one had tried to invade her, at least in a serious way. Aside from an incident involving some Austrian teenagers and small rocks, the past few weeks had been uneventful.
It seemed Liechtenstein wished to make conversation with her military guardian. The question she presented was not unusual at all.
"Indeed I did... several times. Those dogs of his are... energetic..."

"I... That sounds painful. I'm sorry I brought it up." She chomped down on a tiny cupcake, and washed it down with some tea to fill the void of awkwardness Lili felt she had left. She averted eye contact with the stick for as long as she could. After all, she didn't want to drive away one of her only military resources.

The stick said nothing. The memories in reality weren't that bad, partly due to lacking a nervous system and thus not being able to feel pain. There were only the times it feared the rough play from the dogs would snap its slender, wooden body. It was pretty sure it still had bite marks left. And so, the silence continued.

"Ah... So, have you seen any good movies, recently?" The silence assured Lili of her blunder; she had made Herr Stick uncomfortable. She flashed the utensil a small, nervous smile. Despite her cool, 'mature' exterior, Lili always had a hard time keeping it steady in times of conversational hardship.

Herr Stick wasn't one for movies really, but it thought it would go ahead and humour the flustered Lili. Years and years of observing quietly has made the stick think itself pretty damn good at reading people.
"Why yes... an older war film. I do not remember the title... Downfall? It had lots of... yelling."

"Oh, I did not see that one." Lili shuffled her feet beneath the table. "I'm sorry if I'm boring you. I'm not exactly sure what one... -does- with a stick." She scrunched her mouth and looked away, quite embarrassed, it seems.

The stick felt as though its existence was to be bored, so it gradually got used to lack of events. Lili's lack-of and later attempts toward conversation didn't bother it.
"It is alright. At least you are not trying to force-feed me liverwurst..."
