(( I've actually explained this before in a previous answer, but
I chose to use the older flag because it represents the European 
descended side of South Africa's population, it was the flag they had created and designed.

Ah but wait, please don't take it the wrong way--  I merely made it that way because I 
was planning to create another South Africa pony, one that represented the native half,
that one would have used the newer flag.

However due to life and inactivity I started 
dropping away from this account. I wont be able to
continue on my ideas or do drawn answers anymore,
but I hope that answers your question c': ))

she got a very sad and confused look on her face--
she couldn't decide, to open it or not...*

*a few tears begin to form and fall down her face-
yet she couldn't understand why* p-please don't say that...
everyone deserves a chance. even you.
*she puts a hoof to his chin and raises it up
giving him a sad smile* I mean, I couldn't have asked for a

I believe when you open up that scrapbook...you will not change. You are the way you are right now and it won't change.

*watching as he opens the first page she wanted to look away,
but her curiosity overwhelmed her, keeping her eyes glued to the book*
..... im really scared- *her eyes were a little wider than normal
but they held a little glimmer of courage* but... please...
don't let me change... *she looks to him giving him a look that
said she would look through the book*

*looking at the first page she sees writings about her first few days
as a baby country. and how Netherlands had given you the book to write
and record your journeys in. she smiled sadly at those memories, putting
a hoof to the page so she could turn it.*

*slowly she came to the pages of being captured and attacked by England
in her early days. Netherlands wasn't able to come help her at that time
so she stayed in England's house for a while at that stage, at first it was
like a prison. but as she turned the pages she saw a crayon drawing she
did of herself and her new brothers, including 2Pscotland-- she was
of course a little embarrassed at those pages as she had looked up to Scotland,
and depended on his strange kindness to help her through those times*

He turned his face away a bit before sighing and going to the next page, the time when she meet 2P!canada all the way up to the birth of anniece and Annabelle. "Cute kids...though I never had a strong point for kids..."

He looked at South and laid his head on her neck. Unsure on how she will react...

Nothing much actually. *turning back to an open book on the floor, she starts writing in the book, which by the looks of it is quite full of pictures, words and photos. Like a scrapbook* .... I wonder where everypony has gone... I kind of miss them. Wight, my cousins Prussia, Germany, holy Rome.... A lot more too, but I just wonder.... *putting her pen down she frowns slightly* .... I really miss the old meet up in that giant house, but now it's a run down place due to everyone leaving it and not caring for it.
Oh? Well anniece and annabelle seem to be doing their own things now, but I wonder why that is...
*she smiles and moves the book so he can see aswell* papa Netherlands gave this to me as a little filly. he wanted me to use it to record everything that happens to me, like a diary of sorts. *she smiles sadly staying quiet for a while, one of her sentences she wrote on the page says "But do I dare look back into this book for answers to my lost memories? Something tells me it won't be pleasant."*
I still haven't dared to look back into this book.
