# About me
EVERYONE ALWAYS asks why I'm named after Felis catus. It's because one of my original bosses had like, 6 cats, okay? It started as a joke, but as I got more citizens and more land, cats seemed to be a common pet. The name stuck, so I'm now officially the United Provinces and Territories of the Cat Republic.For a micronation, I'm pretty advanced for only being two years old I suppose. We've held elections, my citizens run their own businesses and all that. I have two allies and several friendly relations with other nations. I've also have three Autonomous Regions that are to me like Hong Kong and Macau are to China, and I've recently taken the Republic of Akar under my wing until he can get on his feet and stand as an independent nation.
So yeah, I'm a micronation based mostly in Michigan, of the U.S.A. I claim 8 islands on the Detroit River(on both the Canadian and the American sides) and one on Belleville Lake, and I have TEENY claims in the U.S. states of Hawai'i, Nevada, Florida and South Dakota. Oh, and 20 acres in Scotland, and a small claim in the Bahamas~

Patrick straightened himself. "Yes, my name is Patrick. I am also known as the United Provinces and Territories of the Cat Republic. I am located MOSTLY in the U.S.- I own two islands on the Canadian side of the Detroit River, technically. An yes, my people are very artistic and scientific." He seemed a bit shocked at the "young" and "cute" comments. "I'll have you know that I'm almost 11 months old as a nation!" He quickly realizes how pathetic that sounds.

"And when I claimed an island, I put up a sign telling the Americans not to litter, and they cleaned up straightaway, so I think that says a thing or two." He crossed his arms and nodded his head, as if to state that he was indeed as large and powerful as most first-world countries.

"Well, not usually, unless in larger groups. And even then it's usually pasta or sweets." *he looks off longingly as he things of the delicious ice cream cake his Head of Entertainment had made all by himself*
"If it's in pairs or trios though, it's just 'oh, you have food in our fridge? Leftovers? Fruit? Chips? Allow me to clean that out for you~'" Patrick bursts out laughing at this.
"But my people have come up with some interesting things. They know how to combine different pops to get something that tastes good, makes ramen that TASTES spicy but isn't hot, make TONS of sandwiches that SOUND gross when you hear the ingredients but are quite delicious.... But those things are usually kept to oneself or small groups haha"

"I'm entirely sure that I've never had anything you normally eat, but it sounds... interesting to say the least. Pretty much everything around my home is home or locally grown or caught and mostly everything is 'British food'."

He twinges a little bit. "You've...never...had...pasta?" His inner Italian was utterly bumfuzzled. Both of his bosses, and at least one of his military officers had a large amount of Italian blood in them, so as a country he had grown up with pasta, and meals in large portions.
"We don't have much we can 'locally' grow, really. I think there's some strawberry plants in Procione, but they're not in season. Maybe a pear tree too...."
