My that was such a fast response! Again thank you! Sorry if I'm a moment replying, I'm looking through your page kind of glimpsing the stories. I admit my jealousy, while I can draw somewhat, I was never much of a writer, I always had ideas for the skill, but a pen to paper rarely results in any legible words on my end.

You answered at a pretty good time, actually! I'm not usually on at this hour, but I'm on a break, so I can finally relax! And now I am the one that has to thank you, never before has an artist of your caliber ever told me they were jealous of my writing skills! I'm actually rather honored, as you are, without a doubt, a fantastic artist! I've tried my own hand at drawing, but...I didn't really get far, and I couldn't bring myself to enjoy it. So, you are certainly welcome, and without a doubt, you have my thanks! I certainly didn't expect this sort of a reply from someone like you!

I'm usually asleep at this hour, but as fate has it, I've been working morning, sleeping my evenings away and well, being up all night until my shift haha. Which has left me with the new bad habit of being up all hours of the night.
We are probably going to compliment each other endlessly.
I don't feel like a calibered artist, but hearing that, really makes me happy.
Everyone has their talents, and you definitely have one for writing. Are any of your current stories to be read in a certain order/ are they chaptered? I'd love to read your works more indepth, but I don't want to start in the wrong order, so fit here is a place you'd recommend I turn my eyes to first in your gallery, please let me know.

That's a rather preferable sleeping schedule, if you ask me. Being on break from my classes, I have flipped my sleep cycle so that I'm more awake during the night than I am in the day, sleeping when the sun is plenty high. It's oddly satisfying.
If we let one another, I've no doubt we would. Should we avoid it?
I would love to streamline comments to you, but modesty among people like you is rather rare, and I'd hate to ruin it. Joking aside, you really are a fantastic artist! Your shading is lovely, your proportions are very well done, and your style is very recognized; it's very apparent you know what you're doing! So I'm glad I could make you happy~
Wow, I've not been this flattered in a long time. My stories are mainly one piece, and have no actual order, so you can read them however you'd like! That said, City Life, Tea, and Thursday Drive do have the same person within them. So this time, I'm thanking you, as you've really made my night. Having someone such as yourself take an interest in my work is just...staggering, I guess!

Oh. My. God.

Just finished reading Tea, i wasn't expect it to be a murder story.
Absolutely fantastic.
Not always a huge fan of the morbid, but at times, it's great to just sit back and read.
Be flattered, be completely flattered.
I haven't actually had someone to actively talk to in the DA community for soooo long, so this is really nice.
I'm still exploring my ability to shade things, and I try to do decent proportions, but I can be very liberal with the application when I desire to. It also depends on if I'm drawing for myself or for others, and which fandom, as I find some prefer the much more unlikely body perspectives.
Now I haven't fully read anything past Tea, do you ever actually describe how characters look, or do you leave that a mystery?

DignotionsHusband In reply to AstralPeach [2015-12-30 10:14:50 +0000 UTC]

Whenever someone asks what they should read first, I always recommend Tea. I'm immensely proud of that one, hehe.
And thank you so, so much, it's always a relief to hear that someone liked it! Hearing that it's fantastic is even better!
I am afraid to say that most of what I write is morbid, it's just a niche I've filled rather well. Although I did do a little romance-esk story to see how I could pull it off, and I thought that it turned out...alright.
I did actually find you through FA while refreshing the home page to see if I had any messages, and I decided to check out your dA account since I'm not really a user of FA. Because of that...I never actually expected a reply from you. Having a conversation with someone who actually holds one is very nice, especially with the people I normally meet on here.
Judging from your art, I never would have guessed you weren't already settled with your current style. And yes, I've seen your other art as well, such as the more exposing sorts. Personally, I enjoy your style as it is, but that really just gives me more to look for when you change it! It's always fun to watch an artist change their styles.
I rarely describe how they look, but in No Shining Stars, I do. That's also a much longer read, but I'm still happy with it.

Oh goodness, you did?
-turns immediately cherry red-
Ahem, yes, well, I mean I pride myself as an artist, whether of pronz/Mature stuff
Or just in concept and character design. I am still learning what works for me how and when.
I use to be a huge DA fan, but the community over here died a few years back andI never figured out why, I was just guessing I wasn't hip enough, but Fa stayed mostly consistent. So "waaaay" back in 2011 when I turned 18, I immediately an adult account on FA.
It wasn't too long though, a few years really, after that when I made the account AstralPeach, and followed in suite to making one on here with it as well.
As for writing morbid stuff, it's not too gory in detail so I find it enjoyable, it's just enough in terms of "dark" theme to be interesting and not completely turn someone away at the door.
I like morbid when I can nerd out with something like post apocalypse or Sci-Fi Machina/Machine warfare, such as EVA or Gundamn series. Thats when I can stand the super detailed blood bathe, or Higurahsi, or Yumi Nikki, and such. Oka,y so I actually enjoy morbid with a point, but stuff like Saw after the 5th movie, and even then, I felt just pushed it to see how much blood and ridiculous damage they could get away with.

DignotionsHusband In reply to AstralPeach [2015-12-30 10:32:57 +0000 UTC]

Hehe, I did indeed.
-Smiles at you, snickering softly-
I'm not going to judge you for what you draw! To each their own, be it pronz/Mature. Besides, I'd be lying if I said I didn't fancy some of your other works not featured on this site.
Character design has always been a bit of an issue with me. That's normally where I get stumped, actually. I can do humans, but I'm always doubtful of my "originality" when it comes to other kinds of creations. Names always stump me though.
I'm in an odd spot with dA. I originally made the account to support one person, but ended up falling into the community, and then, two years later, here I am! I have a...dodgy...account on FA that I use to browse around and leave comments from time to time. I'm not a fan of the way commenting works on there, so I've never fallen into the community...and the fact that when I do try to comment on there, I'm ignored 90% of the time, so I stick to what I know. All this said, I am glad you made a deviantART account, otherwise I'd not be having this conversation.
I'm a very avid fan of gore, blood just pleases me. Dark, morbid things are very obviously not for everyone, and I'd not blame you for being a bit put off by the themes that are in almost all of my writings.
Oh, well in that case, you'd like No Shining Stars, it's a post apocalyptic world! But oh...you enjoy Mech/Mechas? Aren't you just continually getting more and more interesting! But talking about Saw...I could go on and on about where they went wrong. I feel like they really just started giving up on actual plot and scripting. The traps, in my opinion, even started getting bland.

You live! Glad to know I didn't lose you~!

Between school, work, and Dragon's Dogma, relatively void of time. All in all though, I've been enjoying myself. How about yourself? I do hope that your time away from the planet has treated you well!

Been dealing with health issues and playing Disgeae 5 myself. Enjoying traveling through the netherworlds.
But it's been mostly good, just been kind of absent form the online life, I'm going to try and integrate back into it slowly.

DignotionsHusband In reply to AstralPeach [2016-01-25 03:57:55 +0000 UTC]

It's certainly an odd thing to get away from, and then even more strange to get back into. That said...I'm horribly sorry to hear about your health problems. I won't pry, as that'd be rude, but I will say that i hope things are better now, or at least that they're getting better.
I've never actually played Disgeae, and I only recently heard about it. Alas, I can't relate.
I do hope your integration among the online world goes smoothly~
