practice, practice, practice and draw on everything! Sometimes the quickest most random little drawings on like a scrap piece of paper can be better than something you spend hours on. Also try a bunch of different media! Some people can be really bad at things like drawing with pencils, but they try charcoal or something and be amazing! It all really boils down to what you try! Looking at different styles is important so that you can make your own as well!

DA is probably the best place for any artist to start really! If you search Tutorials you'll find a TON of stuff that could help you out!
