You should consider watching Toradora. It's on sale by NIS America. The Familiar of Zero has not been fully released though even though all the anime completes the full story. But yes, dat Kugimiya-san~ Lovely~

And your question...

It's actually a reading of 翔 (read as とぶ, romaji tobu) and it means to rise, soar, or ascend. Names normally using this kanji are read as Shou. But his parents opted to use the 'Noboru' reading. In his own universe, many of Noboru's associates and even his eldest younger sister Ayano refers to him as Shou.

Toradora's plot from what I recall is something after my own heart. The two protagonists conspire to set their respective friends up with their respective crushes, only to fall for each other?
Character naming etymology is always fascinating. Especially if fitting or ironic. But which series universe is this in particular? One of yours, a game or TV animation?

The only downer of Toradora's anime is that it rushed itself towards the end. Other than that it is a charming and lovely series. And funny too.

Noboru is from a rather old story of mine set in Japan and revolves around a group of people fighting against a terrible freaking Kishin and its vast hordes of youkai.
