# About me

I'm a Single mother who has an Associates Of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy. Unfortunately I broke my back when I was 14 and even though I worked all my life I had to go on Social Security in 2004. If had several back surgeries since I was young and when I had 2 in a row one in 2003 and 04 It took to much out of me. In 2003 when I was working as a C.O.T.A. In hand therapy a patient I worked with gave me some glass beads and wire to play with while recuperating from the surgery. After that I fell in love with making Jewelry. I'm self taught in Micro Macrame, Kumihimo, Viking knit and now I'm trying to get a certification in Jewelry Design and thanks to the a Department of Rehabilitation. I'm hoping to start a small business when complete but I'll only be able to make enough to supplement my Social Security. But it's not about the money to me it's about the beauty and variety of techniques there are out there to explore. I'm amazed at all the artist on Deviant Arts and hope to be able to impress some of them with my own designs someday. For know I'll be learning from all of you and finding my way to amazing myself with my own art work. Thank you for allowing me to learn from all of your wonderful artwork.

It's been so long since I've been on this site. I'm trying to finish an online class in Jewelry design and repair. But your work is amazing and creative. Right now when I get a chance I make designs from books or ones I find on the web. But someday I hope to be good enough to make my own designs in Micro Macrame. So I study what others make and find it somewhat intimidating that they make such intricate work just from their own style. How do they do it? How do you figure the amount of cording you'll need or what knot to put where? I'm going to get their I guess I just need to make more on my own without others designs. When I do I'll show everyone thanks for responding to me.

I am most honoured by your award of a +watch, I trust that what you will now have arriving

in your inbox amongst so much other stuff will be worth your precious time. I know I have so

much into mine that I have to seriously triage and be circumspect about additions to my

watchlist to keep some semblance of a life in the real world and preserve the deadlines for

my work etc....

I will only write once like this (ie: amount/length of message) to kind of make your

acquaintance and show a little where I'm coming from, (something I tend to do with anyone

who generously thinks my creative efforts are worth their time) future notes may be a mere

grunt of acknowledgement to a full-blown critique of one of your contributions... who knows?

OK, I'm done.
Later my friend, Peter.
