I feel terrible about it, and should really be getting those done, since I owe them.. I don't think I'll ever take commissions again once I've finished everything I owe.

Well, it doesn't bother me, so get to it when you can get to it. :>
Maybe you could do commissions again when you know for certain you've got a long stretch of free time in front of you. But until then, yeah, I imagine it's very time-consuming. Never mind the fact that you were (are?) having issues with your drawing hand.
