I'm learning Mandarin, I did want to learn Cantonese back in 9th grade, but Mandarin has WAY more materials to learn from, and then when I found out I could take the class online for school, I made my final decision. It's really not that bad, I love how there isn't any conjugating like in Spanish. <3 I have a million flashcards to remember words/characters(hanzi)! >w<

That's so cool to me x3 I took Japanese back in high school, but sadly I don't remember too much anymore xD; It's hard to use Japanese in every day life/ practice without seeming like a weeaboo >>;;; But please never stop on your Chinese! You did? My best friend takes Japanese. ^_^ I'd assume it's hard to use it, there aren't to many Japanese people walking around unless you're in California or something. I'd hate myself forever if I just quit! >w< I promise I won't stop till I can speak at a decent fluency! <3 Hey, I got an idea if you want to start learning Japanese again! There's this one website called Interpals, it's a penpal site similar (looking) to myspace/facebook, that is for people trying to learn a foreign language. And not really, a lot either just get cut, or they're not finished yet, or I just don't post them lol.. I only have a couple up on YouTube and they're kinda only funny to me and my friends, so I get a little embarrassed showing other people

Yeah I took it for all 4 years ^^ It was a lot of fun, especially in the 3rd and 4th years, cause all the people who just took the class for anime left cause it was difficult, and the people actually interested in the language and culture itself stayed xD There WAS this one girl though..... *shudder*

Wow, we only have it (Chinese) for 3 years, and since I found out about it late, I'll only have time to take 2. ;A; How much could you speak/understand after taking the class? I think I'd be annoyed at first with all the weeaboos taking Japanese, good thing for you they left. xD Japanophiles scare me...I'm glad China/Taiwan doesn't have that problem.

Not so much inside jokes, kinda like group humor. It's stupid stuff we find funny cause we have a boring sense of humor xD; I mean, if you're highly interested I can link it to you, but it's just really lame xD;

It's a sad case for me, cause in 4 years we had 3 teachers, and they all taught at different paces, and different difficulties. Especially with our 3rd teacher, she was teaching much more advanced stuff and we were very behind, so we went from the beginner stuff, basically skipped the middle difficulty, and went into advanced mode. So we left knowing a good deal, but no where near as much we could have.
