Oh, and if you get an insulting email from one of my friends, ignore it. It was back before they realized that I apologized. I was really mad at the time...and sad...well, you can figure the rest out.

Now, if you want, you can add me to you DevWatch and share some of your facts about the NOES fandom, or you can just ignore me and pretend this never happened. No, I'm not telling you what to do, just giving suggestions. If you feeling like flaming me again, please don't. I've had enough flaming for once.

Caiman: Like I said, I'm not in the NoES fandom anymore. As for your friend's, um, "insulting email," it gave me quite a laugh. Have her contact me if she wants some pointers on how to really tear into someone. She has some promise, I think, but her chosen areas of attack are too easily brushed off.

That's good to hear. Heh.
What fandom are you in now, if any?

Ayezur In reply to FatCaiman [2005-08-02 23:47:23 +0000 UTC]

Mm. Little of this, little of that. Currently writing something for the new Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movie, have a Phantom of the Opera fic in the works.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? I love that movie! Johnny Depp was great in it. We had a play about it once at our school, and I had a crush on the guy who played Willy Wonka. (I still do, too.) I sent him a bunch of emails, he got mad because he already has a girlfriend, and then some girl named Zen makes rumors about me stalking him. (I was, a little, but she exaggerated.)
Anyways, much drama was involved. Hopefully it will be better come the start of the school year.

*facedesks*

You, my not-so-good sir, are in serious need of an attitude adjustment. They are called fan FICTION for two reasons: They are written by fans, and they are fiction.

You seem to have forgotten that a fanfic is something someone writes to live out their own fantasies with a character they lust after. It isn't about accuracy. And if you dislike it so much, just don't read it.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ayezur In reply to khira [2005-08-02 22:43:15 +0000 UTC]

I'm a she, actually. And while it is true they have the right to write whatever they choose, it is equally true that I have the right to say whatever I like about it, to their faces or behind their backs. If you don't like what I have to say, you don't have to read it either.

Bye bye now.

khira In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-03 13:27:14 +0000 UTC]

I don't care if you are a female. You still act like a child. An immature brat, obviously. You are insensitive, thick-skulled, and probably thin-skinned. Hmm. I wonder what makes your fiction so bloody wonderful. I'd take time to read and find out, but I have a real job to get to. Consider having one, instead of relying on "daddy".

Ayezur In reply to khira [2005-08-03 14:46:35 +0000 UTC]

With all due respect, Madame Khira, people who act like me do not last very long without developing a thick skin. Furthermore, you8 need to work on your technique; attack what's actually there, not what you've made up in your head.

Fastclaw, what do you think they'll do? Ban me for getting into a fight with another user, which she intiated by confronting me about an altercation that took place between me and her friend on a completely different site?

I did not come here with the intention of getting into a fight. I enjoy looking at pretty pictures; that's it. She challenged me.

However, as I am a subscriber, if they decide to boot me I would like my money back.

fastclaw In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 22:51:49 +0000 UTC]

From what I have read, she was simply asking a question and YOU decided to flame her. I have seen plenty like you, and I myself have dealt with one before. You have no excuse in acting with such a condescending, arrogant tone when someone offers constructive criticism. In case you don't know, you are NOT perfect. Nobody is perfect. Take criticism positively and reflect on it.

As for being a subscriber, you only have 2 more days of subscription left. It's not like you'd be lacking in something significant.

devilishkurumi In reply to fastclaw [2005-08-02 23:10:36 +0000 UTC]

Ayezur's never thought of herself perfect. She's actually gets a bit worried over her work's quality at times. So I don't know why you're saying she thinks such things.

👍: 0 ⏩: 0

Ayezur In reply to fastclaw [2005-08-02 22:59:21 +0000 UTC]

Fastclaw: I only just renewed, actually.

I did not ask for constructive criticism. I have been told to play nice by far more eloquent people then you, people whom I actually know and respect, and on such occasions I listened to them and saw their point. You, sir/madam, are someone I do not know who butted in to someone else's argument. Caiman was the friend of some girl I don't even remember, dragging up some incident that I probably forgot two days after it occurred. Why should I listen to anything either of you have to say?

Minstelae [2005-08-02 16:52:46 +0000 UTC]

I just thought I'd state that you suck. You're one of those people who doesn't particularly deserve to have the position of high valor that you are looking for, as run around flaming people for no good reason. Grow up. The internet is full of smuts like you - what makes you think you are any different from them? It's old, it's uncool and worst of all, nobody likes you because of it.

You need to learn how to critique without flaming people. If you'd care to learn, then ask me. If not, then grow up and stop flaming people just to flame them. Obviously you are a very unhappy person. Ever stop to wonder WHY you don't have any friends?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ayezur In reply to Minstelae [2005-08-02 23:10:44 +0000 UTC]

Oh, hey, someone new. Dear Minstelae: If you ever saw my friendslist on LJ, or my buddylist on AIM, or the amont of people who have me on their favorites or alerts on ff.net, you would eat your words. DA is not my primary stomping ground; as stated before I only come here to look at the pretty pictures. Therefore, I have not bothered to socialize here.

I can critique without flaming. I can do it very well, actually, but most of the time it'll fall on deaf ears, so why bother?
Sometimes I will see a spark, a potential, and then I'll give critique, and not a flame. Lately I've taken to simply ignoring them, as they've ceased to really amuse me.

As for my happiness... I'm quite happy, actually. A few years ago you might have been right, but I'm generally enjoying life right now.

Hey...I read some of your stories on FanFiction.Net. They were pretty good. One of my friends said you hurt her feelings pretty badly...I don't remember exactly what it was about...a fanfic of her's or something. Anyways, I just had to ask, why? If she did a bad job, you could have at least gave her some advice for improvement in not-so-harsh a manner.

Oh well, perhaps that's just your personality.

I feel all semi-famous now. Sorry for the lack of response, I just check this place like... never.

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-01 01:35:33 +0000 UTC]

If you have to ask, I could never explain well enough.

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-01 19:57:14 +0000 UTC]

Well...okay. I know it might be annoying when they do that and stuff, but you shouldn't be quite so angry when you comment on their fics. At least, that's what I read from you in the past. You should give them advice to improve their story, and they might just take it. If they do, then you won't be annoyed anymore.

By the way, are you ever going to put anything on your DA page?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ayezur In reply to FatCaiman [2005-08-01 22:50:09 +0000 UTC]

I've tried; if you don't have an instinctive feel for and love of stories, nothing in the world can help you. Also, I find it deeply condescening and insulting that you presume to tell me what I should and should not do. Please fuck off and come back when you have a brain; you bore me with your stupid.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 16:04:18 +0000 UTC]

Well, I for one find it deeply insulting that you're so stuck up that you think your stories are superior to everyone elses. You think they're perfect, but they're not. And I do have a brain, and know how to use it, thank you. I'm just sick of you insulting everyone and acting like you know everything there is about the Freddy Krueger fandom.

My stupid what? I was intending to give advice, not tell you what to do. Now go on with your life and forget everything I said if that makes you feel any better.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ayezur In reply to FatCaiman [2005-08-02 21:15:28 +0000 UTC]

Oh, for fucks sake. I haven't even looked at NoES for ages. And it's not a matter of thinking, it's more a matter of knowing - also, "you think they're perfect, but they're not" - what are you, eleven years old?

For your information, I do happen to know a great deal about NoES, and Freddy, and in addition to the substantiated knowledge I possess I have several well-formulated and throughly backed up theories.

If I had wanted your advice, I would have asked for it. To cloase with something more on your level - "OMG ur just sew jellies of mi amazing TALENT!"

Oh, that felt so good.

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 21:35:27 +0000 UTC]

Please, I don't have atrocious spelling like you said.

No, I'm not eleven, I'm 15. And I'm not even going to argue with you anymore, it's pointless. All you do is flame.

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 22:52:38 +0000 UTC]

Hey, look, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to start a fight. I didn't mean to act like an eleven year old. I'm a sensitive person, and just so you know, what you said has really hurt my feelings. And when you replied, I had to stand up for myself.

I may only be 15, but I can have an intelligent conversation. C'mon, just try. Ask me anything. I'll be mature about. Start a debate. I'll prove that I'm smarter than I look.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ayezur In reply to FatCaiman [2005-08-02 23:03:35 +0000 UTC]

A word of advice, Caiman: if you are sensitive, don't try to confront people like me with our supposed wrongdoings. We've got hearts of stone.

But your apology is accepted, and I extend mine to you for perhaps being harsher then I should have and not taking into account that not everyone's as much of a scrapper as I am. While I do not retract my previous statements regarding the unwatnedness of your advice, I apologize for the harshness.

And tell your friend that while I still have no idea who she is, but if she's like half of the other authors I remember from my days there, she needs to read about a hundred and fifty more books - preferably by authors such as Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Clive Barker, Terry Pratchett, Ursula K. LeGuin, Joseph Campbell, Susan Cooper, Robert A. Heinlein, Isaac Asimov, and others of their calibre - and try again in a few years. Writing classes would also help.

That, and she should learn everything she can about her fandom and its history.

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 23:14:17 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I'm sorry for provoking you, or whatever it was I did. I didn't realize I was at the time, either. But now that I look back on it, I can see what I did wrong.

That is good advice, though. I'm also sorry for judging you by some negative posts you made toward authors in the past. I guess I overreact to that stuff. To be honest, it really did hurt my feelings. I felt like crying, but I didn't. Go ahead and laugh, but I'm a sensitive person.

But since you know so much and Freddy Krueger and it's fandom, you could share that same information you told me to the others. But, like you said before, there's no changing some people.

There, I feel better now.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Ayezur In reply to FatCaiman [2005-08-02 23:18:11 +0000 UTC]

But it's not nearly as much fun as using them as scratching posts. As I said in the post below, if I see something geniune I will help them. I rarely see that.

And I can't help you with the overreacting, but I can tell you that there's nothing worth overreacting there. People like me aren't malicious so much as we view the vast majority of online interaction as a game.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 23:23:33 +0000 UTC]

Well, I suppose I'm one of those people who takes online interactions a bit too seriosuly, along with the people who you used as "scratching posts", as you said.

Anyways, sorry, once again.

Ayezur In reply to FatCaiman [2005-08-02 23:39:01 +0000 UTC]

Caiman: Oh, hon, it's fine if you take the interwebs seriously. The Internets Is A Very Serious Buisness, after all. It's just best to keep in mind before you blow up that some people really just... don't, and try not ot get too offended. After all, when you get right down to it, what it is is a bunch of words on the screen written by someone you don't know.

FatCaiman In reply to Ayezur [2005-08-02 23:51:02 +0000 UTC]

Thank you for the kind words, though.
