# About me
I guess I can't consider myself a "newbie" after 2 years of gathering amazing art, graphics, photographs, etc. from DeviantArt...but I still can say my addiction to the site is going strong! Unfortunately, nothing has changed with my profile page. Still procrastinating, just as I'm procrastinating on starting my blog...I'm still no artist! I can't see myself submitting much anything. I'm not sure that is frowned upon here, but some of us just don't "have it" when it comes to creating various forms of art. Honestly, for ages I have been green, green, green with envy to those that embody the ability to express themselves through the many forms of art out there. This is why I love this website so much! There are sooo many beautiful, innovative, imaginative genres of art here.
As you can see, I have many, many "favorites" I've tried to categorize. But I do have to say....if I favorite you, please know your work has touched me in some way.
Probably the biggest category as of late, is my "She's Got the Look" gallery. I've entered a time in my life of introspection, attempting to embrace and accept who I am, what I love and not being afraid to show my true self. This extends to a much needed reconnection of what my definition of beauty is. I need to finally "get some balls" and allow my inner beauty to reflect my outer beauty, despite what others think, what my job will see as "professional" and being TRUE to who I am. Change! So scary and exciting at the same time!
So I decided whenever I found a photo of a woman with style (or hair color, or hairdo, or outfit, or tattoo, or just plain beauty!) that caught my immediate attention in some way and without putting too much thought into the selection, I would drop it into the folder and let the selections accumulate over time. Then some random day, that I have yet to determine, I'd comb through all the different forms of beauty collected, and see if I can find reoccurring types of style. Selecting on "beauty impulse" may end up being a very enlightening experience into all the different forms of beauty I would love to incorporate into my daily style. I have a feeling that my self definition of hippie-metalhead will come to light! (or maybe not? maybe I will find something new to love!)
Anyway...hope that made sense! Once I get my blog going, I will turn my attention to this page...promise! Oh and if you're interested, share the results of my "beauty impulse" project...
