I didn't realize just how big the site is, it's quite daunting.

I am glad there's a large and friendly fractal community, that's what I was hoping for.
I'm hoping to pick up a few new hints and tricks.

You're welcome my friend, and yup, this site is massive, there's something like 20 odd MILLION members haha
It's definitely daunting when you first start here, but once you find your way around I know you'll love it
