im good man. i have been finishing up the movie. ive been writing every morning for at least 2-3 hours the last few weeks. LOTS of lounge music on repeat and deep zoning out

i had to tweak a few things as well as add just a couple of things..very very minor..to the previous parts. but these things are just to make sure everything adds up. thought about you a lot man since ive been writing this, also, i was wondering how youve been doing. i have 162 messages on here man i see youve written some and i will get to that!!
but ive got to finish this my man.

Yeah 162! heh i will admit theres probably a lot of deviations from me in there, ive been putting together narative albums, much like bands like Rush, and Coheed and Cambria. Combining music and narative seems like a good plan, and can also serve as plan for further exploration of story and characters etc.

thanks for the comps. i'm getting ready to try my hand at commissions...just sketches...kind of like the ones in my gallery so if you know anybody (yourself included) that needs a commish...holla at me. Hell i may just do one of that Tyr character cause that mf go hard. He looks like he'd be a cross between wolverine, a bad ass biker, a some kind of street fighter character...but whatever he is, he definately looks like he can get busy with the best of them.

thanx man! but im just a writer and a character designer. my own pencil skills are just enough to show he artists i use what i need done
i have a good idea of basic anatomy (being a personal trainer) but when it comes to drawing thats the guys i use. in my defense though how the character comes out, the details, etc. its all me. i literally know what my characters look like in my head, i just tell the guys how to draw them down to the slightest detail.

it's skill; something you put a lot of thought into...i'm the same with my characters and the story line..been drawing them so long guess it was inevitable. Actually when i first put it together i was visioning an animated movie..when i started storyboarding it, it kind of started turning into a comic book. so i decided to roll with....do it my dam self. we have a couple of projects on the burner, just in the process of trying to get them off. I've met a lot of cool people/artis/writers/inkers etc on DA (and some assholes too.)

indie is sometimes the best way. the big companies can get you the advertising, but to me, all the indies need to come together and advertise in each others books man. thats how you build off each other. now think about how THAT would look

now that's what i'm talking about. I'm dealing with a guy and he's indie and he's part of about 3 or 4 other indie companies but that's definately the way to go...get enough independants together, helping promote each other, building that fan base and soon the big wigs will be coming to us because the indie shit is flying off the shelves and theirs isn't. just seems like everybody is waiting to get "discovered" and i just don't have that kind of time...i'm ready to do things NOW!! And i'm not saying that I"m the best artist in the world....hell i don't even consider myself a great artist...average at best...but a lot of the work that's out now is somewhat crappy....the book might have some bomb cover art but the pages are flat, dead, no life, not even worth buying. but that's just my opinion.

yeah i know that dude he is a writer like me. angel comics is his home i think.

the comic companies see now that the movie industry has almost NOTHING original to put out. so now everyone is trying to be the next big movie. it used to be just a good thing for people to read your book and buy it. even if a 100 people LIKED it, that was a win. so the industry of comics is becoming hollywood which is fucked up. nothing good is going to come from that. they are taking advantage of the fan boys and girls.

as far as the workmanship...well comics have declined for a while now. i used to read a lot of comics every week, not so much for art, i read for story, but since im a writer, thats my thing. one thing i noticed the art is secondary to the writing. THAT is just the truth. both are important, but you can have the BEST artist (image comics)
but whack ass stories will kill the book (Image comics)
on the flip side, i have seen the crappiest artwork, but the story was so good, that it worked just fine. BOTH complemented each other so well, that the reader is satisfied.
the other lesson there it depends on the story. some stories you dont need to have all of this dope art. sometimes dark, gritty and minimal works the best...
then there are times that you want to show some deep technological/fantasy stuff where the artist has got to know how to detail and draw worlds, BUT that story had better be on par with the great science fiction movies because if the story is whack and the art is SUPER, then he reader is just left unfulfilled.
the artist and the writer complement and challenge one another from the start man.
imagine you're a writer..
and H.R.geiger wanted you to write something for him using HIS artwork?
ive NO fucking idea HOW i would even approach a story involving his shit. but i would have to try
THAT is what its all about man. the PASSION and the drive to make magic...instead of getting paid. you make magic, everything else will come...eventually.

i'm just the opposite...in a way....i'm drawn to a book moreso for the artwork..to me..sometimes the story don't matter if the art is off the hook...true..it does leave u a little disappointed when the story kind of sucks. i hate books with bomb ass art covers but the inside is not very impressive...flat...no pop. for that alone..i won't even read the story...unless the pitch is good.

it's true there is lack of good comic based movies..i thought iron man was pretty good...didn't waste my time with Jonah Hex..could have been a looooooot sweeter but oh well...the dragonball movie was trash...cheap ass movie...cheap ass game...cheap ass action figures...hate when they do that shit. me n the wifey ain't seen crap but spooky movies..Devil was pretty...out there..still not sure where i rate that one except as a definate see again. LET ME IN WAS WILD...i actually jumped a few times LMAO!! i think artist control has a lot to do with it...that can really as you said fuck things up.
