Yeah, I had my initial suspicions.

To make my digital art, I use a program I downloaded of the internet called Paint.net - it's like Photoshop, except it's free and a bit simpler. Other people use thinks like Microsoft paint, Photoshop and GIMP.

Adoptables are character designs that people make for others. They can be free, raffles, auctions, payed for with points or real money, or prizes in contests, such as DTAs (Draw to adopts - you draw a picture of the character to adopt it), WTA's (write to adopts- write a story or biography of your character), or guess the ship (guess the parents of an adoptable to win it).

Once adopted, a person can use their character as an 'OC' or original character, so long as they credit the original designer at least once. Then you are free to use them in stories, art, comics, etc. You can also use them in things called 'breedables' where your character and another, whether it be your own character, someone else's or a well known character from TV or movies, are 'bred' and their children are either kept or put up for adoption (actually romantic interest and ability to breed is not required, and there aren't often ties between parents and offspring).

There are 5 of them - mint, strawberry, lettuce, pudding and another one I forgot. It gets lost in the English translation.
