# About me
"I make Wearable Art"and I am an example of how inspiration is contagious and the product of a life of curiosity. Throughout my entire life I have always been searching for unique ways to express myself. Triggered by inspiration I would rotate through various forms of expression. The emotions I would pour out during each piece of art would vary as much as the tools themselves. I would draw, paint, sculpt, metalwork, woodwork, use synthetics, create clothing with jewelry, and of course now leather working. I would utilize pretty much anything that I could take advantage of that would broaden my horizons and possibly help my skills to grow.
A life of using this philosophy has gifted me with the ability to adapt to various mediums and use them proficiently. The reason I have fallen in love with leather work is that it gives me the opportunity to merge various mediums to assist in the outcome of something truly unique. All of the time that I have spent educating myself through the years, with these tools, will come to light in the final outcome once the direction is fully achieved.
Every showpiece in -BadLukArt's- Gallery is extremely detailed and one of a kind. This is because of the fact that each item is freehand from start to finish. My method is a quite rudimentary, I do not draw or try to sketch any of my designs. This is not to say that I can't, I just chose not to for my own sense of freedom. Normally an artist will sketch his creation and then use that as a template to their design. They will hold true to that template as best they can. I find if one concentrates on the finished product and restricts himself from change, then concentration may be rerouted from the task at hand. This is caused by redirecting valuable energy, focus, and effort away from the individual pieces of a project that already require so much care and attention. Without the image of the finished product sitting in my mind, I am then free to let my emotions guide my work as it begins develop right in front of my eyes.
The way that I prepare for a specific piece of art is rather traditional. I research my concept as thoroughly as possible. I find ways to relate to the topic, if it is armor for example, I will attempt to put myself in the mindset that was prevalent during the topics original existence. I will select the mediums and tools then plot my topics individual direction. Once the direction has been chosen it needs the artists unique angle and perspective. This is at which point rules and boundaries are implemented along with vital parameters. These are not to be viewed as restrictions but as guidelines, guidelines that nurture the direction so it develops efficiently and accurately.
Once I have a clean and clear idea as to my approach, I simply begin. I decide where my starting point is and all my concentration and focus remains on that one task only until it is completed. Of course I have an idea of how things will come together, but the details themselves can easily change depending on my mood. Again, as long as I follow the guidelines that I have created, I have complete freedom to "go with the flow" as long as the direction stays true. Once completed, these pieces of Art become truly one of a kind. This is also achieved by this fact, I never make the same thing twice
Remember that inspiration is contagious.
Thank you and enjoy the various galleries.

Thank you very much for your appreciation. Most people don't realize how much time and attention to detail that is required on a competely customized piece of Artwork. A great deal of time was invested during the execution of certain techniques used to amplify details. These strategies are implemented In order to achieve a perfect combination of tooling, carving, texturing, painting, and dying to create contrasting lines with superb tooling details that all have various ranges of depth. I make sure to always choose a color pallet that is both aesthetically and historically pleasing and complimentary. It is important to fulfill a list of requirements throughout each stage of the projects evolution. I put a great deal of thought and effort into everything that I do. The Steampunk Samurai is my most recent project.Β

The detail in your toolingΒ is as good, if not better than tattoos, because it has true depth.
