# About me
¡Hola! My name is Wayne, and I'm one-half of a cartoonist. (I'm the half that likes to write and eat a lot of doughnuts.) My friend and partner Jaime is the other half of this cartoon equation. (He's the one who likes to draw and watch a lot of Hitchcock movies.) Together, we're kinda like Voltron... without as many interlocking parts.We made this deviantART page because we're thrilled to share our comic strip with you. It's called Kate the Great, and we really, really love it. We hope that you will, too.
(In the picture above? Yep, that's Kate! And her unicorn, Zuzu. And Louie [her dragon!] and Harlan [her gargoyle!] are running around in the background. And Tidas is her griffin. You'll see him soon. He's huge and super awesome.)
About the comic: Kate the Great is a comic strip about a spirited young girl with a big imagination. Kate’s friends (a gargoyle, a dragon, a unicorn, and a griffin) go with her on a series of adventures – some in the real world, others in worlds she probably invents – yet regardless of her environment and the challenges she faces, Kate is a natural-born leader and a very funny kid.
About the author: Wayne Bartholomew holds a master’s degree in English, which he earned from Youngstown State University. He is also a graduate of Kent State University. Through KSU’s School of Library and Information Science, he earned an M.L.I.S. Wayne has published political cartoons in YSU’s student newspaper, The Jambar.
About the illustrator: Jaime Garcia Corral is a comic book artist. His professional career includes work for companies like Disney (Disney Classics), Full Stop Media-Warner Bros. (Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Tom & Jerry) and DC Comics (Scooby-Doo), among others. His work has been published both in European countries, like the U.K., Germany, Sweden, Denmark, as well as in the U.S.A. He has also done illustration for animation.

Between the strip and our day jobs, we've been VERY busy lately, but Christmas Eve is a time to slow down and take it easy. To spend time with those who have been an important part of our lives during the other 364 days of the year.

Wayne I just submitted my first four pieces of art! look them all up they are : "Desolation of Smaug 001" "Desolation of Smaug 002" "Desolation of Smaug 003" "Desolation of Smaug 004" I think thats all of them but if not just say the same thing only with 005 xD But yeah I accidentally put all of them under the Desolation of Smaug when it was just supposed to be one of them.
