I'm flattered by your interest! I'm afraid that I have a whole litany of excuses as to why I can't update, the bulk of which are the fact that I'm embroiled in writing my 50 page thesis at the moment and the fact that my current fanfiction project will be an epic-length Harry Potter time travel fic involving Draco Malfoy.

Well, I think I'll keep bugging you about it every now and then (I think I might have you on my favorite authors list on ff.net) I'm pretty sure I used to talk to you some about a harry potter x fullmetal alchemist crossover of yours,just out of curiosity, what's your thesis about?

It's an undergraduate thesis, so it's not as intense as a PHD or something, but my main topic is medical innovation during the American Civil War. I mostly talk about WHY it's been remembered as being so brutal, when in comparison with other contemporary wars (like the Crimean War or the Franco-Prussian War) the doctors were actually quite brilliant and not the dirt-encrusted butchers so often pictured by the public. The Crimean War, FYI, is also the one that gave us Florence Nightingale, who has gone down as a saint in history... but the Civil War doctors and nurses were following all of her guidelines, sometimes even more successfully than she, and yet they're villified by history.
...Anyway, that's what I'm writing about, in brief. >_>

Trying to figure out life - graduating in the spring. D: I'm applying for a few English Second Language Teaching jobs, but I'm planning on continuing schooling after a year off... I could become a history professor, an English second language teacher, a translator, a museum/archive curator... I'm not sure which. 
What about you? Graduating this year, or...?
