I've watched season 1 so far... It's not my favorite anime, but it's good.
My favorite is a bit similar to Fairy Tail in that it has a happy overtone but a very dark undertone. It's called Zettai Karen Children.
My second favorite anime is Umineko no Naku Kori ni which translates to When The Seagulls Cry. It is a really dark anime... It's hard to find though... You have to go to the JPAnime app to find the entire series.

You say that because you've only saw the anime... Read the manga and you'll see what I mean, the manga is deeper, sadder, it explores more themes, it is a lot more awesome, and the drawings....I can't describe how good are the drawings...
And I know the second one you mentioned, I even have the DVD box at my place.
I don't know the first one you mentioned, and if its really like fairy tale, I don't think I'm gonna like it

It's similar... You can watch the first episode and immediately tell if you're going to like it... If you don't like it after you finish that episode, unless you skip to episode 21, you won't like the rest of it.
Season 2 however, is much more adult oriented and you'd probably like it was more.
