Just chucked up a new Pic (well, it was done last year, but I've newly uploaded it)...

Very different to other Gallery pics and not a style I've attempted since, but was good to try out some ideas.

I think it helps in getting work as an illustrator these days if you can knock out lots of different styles for clients to look over (or do something very specific after lying to client that you can in fact do the style they're looking for!).

Photoshop is great for developing different styles, and experimenting in general.

Looks like the DD thing happened AFTER the winners were chosen (as all 12 were DD'd)...I guess I must have caught the eye of the Judges?

The "Daily Deviation" spotlight seems to have played a big part in my getting a place.

Anyone know how pics get chosen for a Spotlight feature? Made for a HUGE jump in my Views/Favorites count...

Redragon: your pic was a real stand-out...half the battle with Poser Figures is getting a decent facial expression out of them...

Thanks for the comments guys, I guess being picked as a Daily Deviation pushed me over the line in the contest...

How do pics gets chosen for Daily Focus? Does anyone know? The "views"/"favorites" went through the roof in just that one day...

I mean, I do LIKE my pic! But it was still quite surprising getting such an instant positive response after many weeks of only casual viewings...
