P.S. I also never realized someone could be so interested in something as common as a squirrel, but I think that's really cool! Is there a story behind your fascination with them? Because honestly, I never would really have given them a second thought until my mom decided to feed them XD

Thanks -- I'm glad you're enjoying my squirrel photos! And your comment is a very perceptive one. The main reason I started photographing the single subject of squirrels about a month or so ago was to try to improve my photography skills. There are lots of squirrels around my yard (since I feed them), and I thought that photographing them day in and day out would be great practice and would provide lots of interesting challenges, being the squirrely creatures that they are. (And I just like them too.) So one thing I hoped to illustrate with this account was what wonderful practice working a single subject over and over can be, and how wonderfully interesting it can be too. (And I have learned A LOT from it -- even much more than I thought I would -- about photography, squirrels, and all sorts of things.) As for photographing something so common, that's another thing I hoped to illustrate: there is tremendous beauty all around us, including in common everyday things. We just have to notice it. And as I thought about it more, I realized that while squirrels are common here, they aren't common everywhere. So there might be plenty of people in the world who would actually see them as unusual or exotic. And as for my fascination with squirrels, I'm not sure what that goes back to. I just saw them in lots of places and liked them.
