Unfortunately I can't say toooo much because some of it is actually going to be covered later, but I can at least tell you that Donna is bisexual. I don't think that's actually going to be directly addressed in the comic, but there is a vague reference to it on the newest page!

Sorry it took me so long to respond to this one because I didn't actually know off the top of my head what color his eyes are, but shhhh, don't tell him! (Brown though)
Also that's not a personal question at all, I really enjoy talking about behind the scenes type stuff like that! Be prepared for a long answer though!
Unfortunately the answer is kinda tricky, since there wasn't really one particular inspiration. Β I got the initial idea because I work retail and one day my old high school principal came into the store. I never had like a crush on him or anything like that, but I just got to thinking about what it would be like to sit down and reconnect with him and it kinda snowballed from there. This next part is kind of the secret part that I don't mention much, but at the time I came up with the idea I was also suffering from some real art block, so I thought maybe to get myself out of it, I should just do like, a straight up porn comic. When I sat down to write it though, it ended up being too emotional and heavy and stuff, so I instead decided it would just be a short 30 page story exploring this older guy's life in the closet. Initially it was pretty much going to end at the end of Chapter 1, with the last scene being Josiah waking up alone in his bed, leaving it ambiguous as to whether or not they ever actually slept together, but as I was writing it, I started getting really attached toΒ the characters and their stories, and I decided I was ready to end it there, so I decided to add a couple chapters. I honestly don't remember where the idea to have the picture come up came from, but I didn't actually decide on it until towards the end of Chapter 2. If it wasn't for that then I think we would have been done at the end of Chapter 3, but instead I thought that this could be an interesting way to finally force him to confront these issues that he's been avoiding since before meeting Daniel.

I talked a little bit about your comic in my journal thing it was about my struggle with depression and I wanted to tell you that in one segment I said this
'so I'm bisexual...and I told my mother...OF COURSE I REGRET IT BUT...I cant even look my father in the eye and tell him, IΒ cant even get the words out of my mouth I feel closeted...but you know the comic I`ve been reading "easy" well its helping me and I feel happy when I see it! and I feel safe when I read it because I can relate to it ...well not fully but still XD"

Wow, I'm kind of speechless, to be honest. It really means so much to me to hear you say that, and I'm having trouble finding the words to genuinely express that!
When I started writing this comic it was a very personal thing. I had already come out at that point, but I was still trying to grow into it and figure out exactly what it meant to me. I've always been pretty awkward and shy myself, especially when it comes to romance and sex and stuff, but working on Easy has helped me grow a lot. I've become much more comfortable and confident in a lot of ways, and to be honest I never imagined that it could have the same effect on anyone else. On the surface, Easy looks like a coming out story, but honestly I like to think it's themes are a lot more universal. The search for acceptance from both yourself and others is something everyone goes through, regardless of gender or sexuality. It's tough, but what I've learned so far is that things look a lot better from the other side!
I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time with things on your end. I sincerely hope it all works out, and even if there's nothing else I can do to help, I hope you can at least continue to find some joy in my little comic!
And also pleeeeeease don't feel like you're being a bug or that you're annoying me! I can understand how that feels too, but I promise I get no greater joy than hearing from people who are enjoying what I do!
