It really is! I always love getting mounts/pelts in the mail. It's like Christmas! XD

Oh my god, I know right. Those ranchies are like monsters. I would love to know what they are feeding them, steroids by the gallons? XD My latest ranch pelt was the size of my coyote. It's complete insanity!

OOH nice! he sounds glorious.
ok, goat skulls with horns ( scavanger cleaned is fine, so long as they are mostly cleaned/ dried I can do the rest.. bloody packages through the post is a no no hahaha)
If you get a REALLY nice goat, I'd <3 if you could cape him out... dont worry bout turning or splitting, just salt it up so it can be posted, I can do finishing work here.
Backskins on any and everything, long or short. Anything I dont tan for fur/rug will be turned into rawhide as I make " native american style" drums
Leg skins as you know, dont care on age or size.
As for kids, would love what ever you get and of course, you know I am happy to compensate for time and effort.
so long as you " rough " skin and salt, I can do any finishing work, skinning for taxidermy isnt overly hard really, its the finishing work thats the frustrating fiddly bit

He really was a beautiful specimen! Shame I only saw him galloping away as my workmate accidently cut him out of the mob...
I always thaught the turning and splitting had to be done before salting, so I never tried as it always ends up way too late by the time I get home and skin it, I don't have the patience to do all the fiddely stuff at midnight knowing I need to be at work again early the next morning... 
Noooooo worries! Just thaught id ask incase you were after something for a specific project. I'll see what I can wrangle up in the next two weeks while we're on goats! Can't wait! Didn't notice any good racks today but we only got in about 300 so plenty more to come

And nope, splitting and such can be even done after/ during pickling. I've even had a few small animals that Ive had to do the split and turn -after- tanning. Its just 300% more fiddly when they are tanned and you are trying to split leather >.<

Haha walking goats in and I'm just like 'oooooh I want your skin and your skin and your horns!' Hahah some real nice fellas but you never count a goat untill it's in the yard. Tomorrow we will muster a paddock to a dry yard where they will rest over night. The next day they will be walked to a holding paddock. The next day this paddock will be mustered and walked to another holding paddock and finally this will be mustered into the yards... At each point goats will run away or will knock up and get left behind so can't really plan too much untill we get them in....
That is great to know. Definatly opens things up for me cos I only tried skinning properly once, and gave up because it was late and I was frustrated and tired!

Hahah nah I do love my job, and I think a kid goat has got to be the cutest animal put on this earth! Goats are so entertaining! They all have different personalities and you always get some oddities to keep it entertaining! (today we had one with an epic emo fringe, and another with a Mohawk all along his back! We also have a 3 foots ram somewhere, and sometimes you get goats with no horns and they look like llamas! Sooo weird! Haha compared to sheep which are all just white and fluffy and boring!)
