Of course, I remember you, Gazz! I think about you a lot really. I hope you are well, and that the crazy turn life has taken is good and exciting. 

Kirsten has a one year old son. Not married yet. they live with us here in Florida. She works and I babysit and take care of my husband who has dementia.

My laptop was out for repairs so I didn't see your message sooner. 

There are a small handful of people who have  impacted   life and whom I'll never forget. they are all here on dA and you are on that list.

Wow, Kirsten has a son!? Tell her congratulations from me! Ayse and I still dont have kids. We've moved over to the UK now and she works at a cinema and I work in a large media company. Things are going a lot smoother. Haven't had the time to read through your journals yet (very busy at work atm) but I hope things are getting better for you guys!

Yeah, Patrick is 13 months old. He's awesome. Kids are a lot of work. Her fiance is on again and off again. he's from a strict Catholic family and really too strict. 

I"m hoping things will get better in 2014. Of course the prognosis is not hopeful for my husband. Dementia is a cruel and sad disease. 

I'm glad things are better for you guys. Marriage is all about commitment and communication.

My boss's father has had dementia for years, and having met him I now understand what it is like. Because she is married to another girl, one day he is nice and the next he rips her apart because of it.

I wish I could say something to help...

Thanks. Chris is lucid for a moment and I think I'm going to have a conversation and then he makes no sense. He doesn't know how to be as affectionate anymore or even rub my back. It gets lonely. But I'm all he has. How is your Mom doing? Well, I hope.

She's doing okay. She was seriously ill, but the medication is helping a lot. To be honest, I was never really a fan of the NHS system here until now. There is no way we could have afforded the treatment for her otherwise...

I'm glad it finally worked in someone's favor. They're in the early stages of implementing socialized medicine here and it's a nightmare. It's going to be very expensive with high deductibles and co pays until they finally go to a single payer system in a few years.

Nobody can be you but you. whatever you create is unique to your heart and mind. I find that when others try to "improve": on someone else's works, it causes the works to lose their heart...their feeling or meaning. They may create something from your works but that is merely plagarism and their take isn't original unless they were there experiencing the same thoughts. Most people are better poets than I am but they will never "see" things the way my heart did when I wrote them. No one can be a better "me" and no one can be a better "you." God made us all unique and different.
