Havent had a chance to post any observation drawings, or any serious linearts, but I have this dinky thing I made today if you are willing to help me point out some flaws with it

Hmm the main thing Im noticing is tht the movement is just a tad too slow. The orange goat wouldnt have the momentem to do all those moves. Maybe also give him a little bit of running space before he hops over the first goat? Also on that first goat I cant quite tell if contact is made, but if there is, it shoudl be shown with a little bob of the first blue goat. If there is no contact, then maybe exaggeare the first hop a bit to make it clear he is completely clearing the goat. Also the perspective is a little wonky... I'd personally make the first blue goat a bit smaller and the orange one smaller at the beginning. But all in all thats some awesome work with posing and anatomy and such! Not to mention a pretty smooth animation. Havent gotten into animation myself so I dont knwo the specifics enough to critique that

Too slow overall do you think, or just when coming down, like over the first blue goat?
And do you think the placement of the legs on the first jump over the first blue goat is natural? or is that what is breaking the whole illussion of contact?
I can add more bob to that first one if I ever outline and finish this (: I will keep that in mind.
What about the perspective is off? Does the orange one seem to big after it kicks off the second blue goat?

and thank you so much!

Overall just a milisecond too slow I think.Β
Also for the leg placement, but I'm sorry I can't really figure out how to go about it to make it more obvious..If I think of anything I'll let you know. The bob will help a lot though seeing as that will show the effect of the contact on the other goat. It doesnt h ave to be a particularily obvious bob but just some reaction to show contact was made. Like in the Buttermilk video, you can see the first goat react.Β
After watching the Buttermilk video, I figured out what was wrong with the perspective. You did their sizes as if they were viewed above like in the video, while drawing them from more of a straight on angle. Compare the perspective on the second goat video vs animated. Perspective wise, on the animation the first goat should be a bit smaller. Also the first goat should be subtley smaller at the beginning and get larger by the end.Β

(sorry if any of this is just reitterating my first message and not answring any questions. Almost 5am here)
