Haha, thank you! I take a lot of inspiration for actual machines, really. It doesn't even have to be anything that has anything to do with what you're trying to design. I mean, the Rainbow one was me looking at the arms from those claw game things, WHICH I ONCE WON TWO TOYS OUT OF, because I am a god. I also tinker a lot with tanking things a part, and I did a graphic design and resistant materials AND a 3D design course in my education, so I find it easier to design things like that, then drawing real things and people.
Seriously though, don't restrict yourself with your inspiration, you can find really unique ideas from the most random objects, and even people. Try starting with smaller things, like a small little piece of machinery, like a little motor, or even just parts of an old toy. Once you've done that, try to turn them into something else! Just look around, create mood boards, and always try to think outside the box.

No worries xD I am well, thank you - I hope you are too! I am glad you're getting back into DA. I'm going to give my account a revamp and turn it into more of a writing gallery; I have NO patience when it comes to drawing / digital art, but writing is my life
