# About me

I am originally from Minnesota and am the youngest of 5, I have one older brother and 3 older sisters. I just recently moved to Nevada. I took up sketching at a young age. I joined the Air Force in 1997 and was stationed in Germany and enjoyed the art and culture there. I got out of the military and took up painting and studied as a protégé student under Sara Hanlon, a Minneapolis College of Art and Design graduate. I enjoyed volunteering at the Minneapolis Institute of Art, which is one of the largest Museums in the country.

Having read your profile i can see how your quest to understand the universe and to communicate those ideas has emerged. While I can't claim to have had the same problems that you must have had to cope with, some years ago i came to the realisation that what I had thought to be a physical illness was in fact panic attacks. I had drifted away from art for many years, but i have found going back to painting has helped with the panic attacks and has also helped me to be more understanding of other people's mental health issues.
