Oh, hey. I don't really check this thing much, I mean I don't even draw anymore. Was thinking about using it to get some more Land Games exposure... but then I quit.

Thank you. Unfortunately I'm writing a novel for publication right now so I don't currently have any plans to post anything online. Maybe if I feel like writing a short story or something.
I'll be sure to let you know if I manage to get something published!

Oh yeah... that thing... ha, no, probably not. I've lost everything I had written since my computer died, but the real reason is I stopped working on it a long time ago. Basically, I was only writing it because I was burnt out on the book I'm actually working on... but I'm finished with said book now (the first draft) and am currently frantically trying to get it up to standards so I can hopefully move toward publishing. Now, if you DO want something to read I could certainly use an opinion
Life is bleah. Nothing special happening, nothing really to look forward too right now either. I'm trying to focus entirely on my writing right now since I'm so close to actually doing something with it. On the plus side, I can actually tell people I've written a book now
I don't have an rpg to run now so I've got more time, unfortunately I've been spending it all playing PERSONA 3 [link]
Noticed your art but been too lazy to comment, sorry... I've been mostly staying away from DA since I've basically decided I'm done with art. I just don't have the talent for it and I've got things I'm more interested in. In other news though, your blog inspired me to finally start one, which I've been planning to do for a while. Here it is, I'll warn you, right now it's mostly nerdy role-playing stuff. [link]

Send it via email or Facebook or whatever in about a week, that's when my spring break starts, so I'll have some down time to look at it.
I don't know what it is about keeping writing a secret, but I understand. I aspire to write a book but I'd never tell someone face to face. Why, I don't know. It's a life long dream, maybe some day it'll happen.
I've only written one blog haha. I should start writing more, it's rather fun.
It's okay, I'm getting burned out in the art department as well, I lurk too much around here and people are just too dang good.
College has also eaten all the artistic time I would have had. College actually just put a huge halt to everything happy in life. ><
FFXIII on March 9th, that's the highlight of my entire year!!!

Gonna go ahead and send it now. How you likin FFXIII? I've only played about twenty minutes of it, though my brother's pretty far along in it. I'm way to obsessed with Persona 3 to start another Rpg right now, though it does look awesome.

I got in my inbox right now. I'll probably read it during programming since that class is so boring!
FFXIII so far is pretty sweet. For once, I like all of the characters and they finally have a reason (albeit a bit of a shallow one right now) as to why random teenage kids can fight hardcore soldiers and win-ex: Tidus, the annoying kid that was the main guy in FFXII who was never in my party.
I love the leveling up system and the combat system, maybe even the best yet. And Lightning is just freaking awesome.
I've heard good things about the Persona series, but never played any of them.

In response to the boredom message.
I'm doing well, with school being done very very soon.
Nothing much in the art department since I lost photoshop and all my WIP stuff when the lappy died.
How about you? Any recent works? If so, I'll find them eventually, but my artbox is backed up to about 542 pictures right now >_< So it might be a while before I find it.

BlueSpade In reply to Malichinari [2009-12-07 01:25:23 +0000 UTC]
I really haven't been drawing lately... for like 3 months or so. Having no photoshop makes me really not care about drawing, as I don't really care for the look of my sketches, I prefer to go all the way and color them. I think there's a few things in there regardless, just not much worth mentioning. I haven't really had time for drawing anyway- I've been writing like a madman lately, 40+ pages in the last two weeks, most of them done in 5 days.
In other news, I just got back from a whole day at the hospital- my little brother had to get his appendix removed. He's fine now, though it was a little nerve wracking since we had no warning. Getting ready to do some Gaming with my friends in an hour or so. Oh, and I recently went on a long epic journey through bumper-to-bumper traffic, blew out my tire and had to change it in the freezing rain, all to get the latest Dvd of Code Geass... and it was worth it

Doin good. Just got back from a concert in Dallas, saw The Fall of Troy, which is quite epic. The guitarist seems to be able to do anything with his guitar. He actually jumped out and crowd surfed while playing a solo.

Just read "Still hoping for any suggestions of students to add to the thing" and my mind did a Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann (all of it, at the same time, it was that big). Here's a bunch of students I like and some inane chatter vaguely related to each:
- Kaneda (Akira): A hardcore delinquent, leader of his own biker gang. Good for a brawl but no soldier, relies mostly on his luck, wits and guts to fight rival gangs, the police, the military, government conspiracy flunkies and his ex-friend-turned-semi-god Tetsuou.
- Sakaki (Azumanga Daioh): Mistaken for a delinquent due to her extremely shy and quiet nature and her unusual height. Obsessed with cats and all things cute. Very athletic (for a human), does well in class, attractive and with a nice personality. The only thing she has not going for her is that she is going to die, as she is far too nice to kill any living being in cold blood. But maybe in scalding hot blood. Experience with being bitten by aggressive swarms of cats.
- Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach): He sees dead people and has natural orange hair, but people thought he had coloured it and was a delinquent. He's a Substitute Soul Reaper when not attending class, likes a good fight but no killer by any means. Hot-headed and hard-headed and stubborn, he's surprisingly good at making new friends. Sports a huge sword but must have out-of-body experience to manifest it which leaves his material body collapsed and helpless unless possessed by obnoxious, talking teddy bear.
- Saya (Blood+): Another skilled female athlete who doesn't remember anything beyond a year ago when she was adopted, why any injuries she sustains heal almost instantly and must receive regular blood transfusions to remain healthy. Handy with a katana, but hardly a master.
- Nyuu (Elfen Lied): She *was* really a student, if only for one day, and with her luck, why not the worst day it could have been? Speaks like a pokemon, possesses a pair of small horns and prodigious amounts of cute. Nyuu is the brain-damaged (retarded, amnesiac, knows no language) version of her original self. If Nyuu should ever hit her head: RUN. Lucy has a nasty habit of pulling people's heads off.
- Sousuke Sagara (Full Metal Panic): This guy is that strange autistic kid if he grew up in Afghanistan as a terrorist and was adopted by a paramilitary organisation. Has the training and experience to fight in all environments, with all weapons (including mechas). Traps, camouflage, battlefield first-aid - he is the human supersoldier. The only thing that is going to stop him from winning this BR in a few hours is his basically good heart that will not let him kill the defenceless (and by basically good, we mean he comes across as a total sociopath in normal society, which he has much hilarious trouble accustoming to).
- young Johan Liebert (Monster): AKA the second Hitler, the Devil incarnate. Has an odd ability to connect with and control sociapaths which might come him very much in handy here. Possesses manipulative and intellectual abilities to contend with the best of them. Is known to kill people if they come to know him. Or simply meets him. Or sees him. Enjoys cross-dressing as his sister.
- Kirika (Noir): Born and breed assassin, can fire dual handguns, kill grown men with her bare hands and win the Olympic gymnastics if she so desired. Little in the way of personality or feelings, which ironically makes her a little sad.
Yes, she has amnesia.
- Momoko (Ghost Stories): Ex-drug addict-turned-born-again-Christian. She'll vitness like one of Jehova's (whom she curiously despise) to anyone that will listen. Has experience with being possessed by dead lesbians and exorcising ghosts. Beyond that, she's actually just a rare, normal student.
Rika Furude (Higurashi no Naku Koro ni): About eight years old miko. Let's just say she doesn't have much to fear for death. Her body may not stand up and walk around after getting shot, but she'll be back again in about two weeks ago, guaranteed. May demonstrate hidden depth of character involving a change of voice and speech-pattern more suited for an older lady. More experienced with these things than one would think, but still very weak of body.
- Ahiru/Duck. (Princess Tutu) She's a duck that turns into a girl that loves but is actually not very good at ballet that turns into a magical princess - weee! She can't really fight, only dance to make you realise your true feelings, but it's the thought that counts.
- Chise (Saikano). Shy cyborg-girl who can grow big missiles from her otherwise quite small back, fly at mach-speeds and start nuclear explosions. She vs Lucy at the latter's strongest might be an equal match. But then the world would be destroyed in the process.
- Kafuka Fuura (Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei): Delusionally optimistic girl. Often has bizarre, childishly optimistic explanations for grim situations, calling suicide by hanging "trying to get taller". Her cheerfulness conceals extreme despair and her classmates (many of whom are quite psychotic themselves) are mortally terrified of her. Enjoys disguising herself, giving whimsical nicknames to people and hinting at an inevitable, final snap of her psyche that will make Columbine massacre look like PG-rated fun and games.
- Makoto Itou (School days) - the one that absolutely must suffer a horrible and painful death. AKA "Man-koto", due to his baffling success with the ladies (at first...). No combat experience, just a (womanising) student.
- Terra (Teen Titans): If Aand and the Gaang can, then so can the only (former) member of the Titans who ever donned a school uniform. Known to stab her friends in the back and has survived in the wild before ("The earth is my home!"). Geokinetic superpowers has seen her cruising around in the sky on a chunk of rock or start earth-quakes if sufficiently stressed out.
If Code Geass isn't already ruled out, pretty much anyone but Air (AKA Rivalz) would be good. While Suzaku and Kallen immediately spring to mind for all their badassity, I kinda like Nina (far more hate than she deserves in context with the other characters of the series) and... wouldn't it be bloody hilarious to see how long a small, crippled, blind girl would survive in a BR [link] (well, she never got into high-school like Chiyo-chan, so...)
I thought of the Avatar characters too, but they just seemed a little too off-world. I commend your choice of characters though.
And now I really need to go finish Baccano!.

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions. I like the idea of Ichigo and Tetsuo, might use those (actually I already have picked Ichigo, as I was thinking about using him already). A lot of the others look quite good too. Only problem is I have to know the characters well enough to be able to write them. Yes, go watch Baccano! it is excellent.
I think I may have to check out this Ghost Stories thing....

The Momoko was the one from the English dub of Ghost Stories, I've never tried the subs, but I believe they're a good deal different since the dub is pure parody.
