aaaa okay I've been dying to ask you this for a while. Why do you have an uppercase delta as your name? ;u;
π: 0 β©: 1
Book-Thief In reply to llamaer [2009-11-19 17:05:59 +0000 UTC]
What, the '-Thief' part of Book-Thief?
I try to use it as more of a space, because the book itself is called the Book Thief, and not the Book thief. And you can't have spaces in your usernames.
And also because I suck at English and didn't notice when I typed it in the little box for 'username'.
Does that make any sense or is it all in my head?

llamaer In reply to Book-Thief [2009-11-19 21:59:10 +0000 UTC]
Aaaa I'm sorry I meant the β for the name section on the profile, not the username. ;u;

I'm glad you agree. Sometimes I think, I should take that off of here, it's kind of.... angry. But then I think, but it's the truth, and I kind of like it that way. ^.^

llamaer In reply to Book-Thief [2009-09-01 19:29:08 +0000 UTC]
This sounds really cliche, but the truth doesn't have to be pleasant. :c
I've never been able to put down a list of all the things that I like. I like a lot of things sometimes and I don't want to cookie cutter categorize them. Besides, I've always had a you-should-figure-it-out-for-yourself attitude for that. >u>

Book-Thief In reply to llamaer [2009-09-01 19:53:48 +0000 UTC]
Very true. I actually wrote something similar to that in an essay for english. The reason we go into such denial about things that go on in the world and in our lives is because the truth has the ability to tear the strongest of people apart. Truth can really be a pain in the butt sometimes, but, as I said, I kind of like it that way....
I'm the same. You can't write, "I like the way the pages of my books look when I've got to a certain point and I'm not going to read any more, so I fold the corner of the page and close it over. I like the taste of toast when it has the tiniest bit of butter and I'm eating it with a boiled egg that is just the right balance between soft and hard boiled." In my opinion...
Things will change, so what is the point of writing them down at all? take things as the go, and enjoy living.

ohsweetignorance
I love the conundrum: the bliss of ignorance or the burden of the truth arghh I sound like purple prose. :c
I like the truth even when it's unpleasant because it's such a good feeling. Like ohhh I don't know how to say it but it's the good correct sort of pain?
I look at journals from only a month ago and I feel like I could never have been that person. Besides, I'm a pretty contradictory person. :/ I give off an aura of anti-japanese (though really it's the mindless Asian pop culture that ticks me) but I adore little old Japanese women and packaging. I really dislike Asians but almost half my characters are Asian or part Asian.
This is an extremely complex world we live in and I can't stand people trying to simplify it or make themselves stupid.
Excellent spot of advice, Kirsty. I take it to heart. c:

Book-Thief In reply to llamaer [2009-09-02 18:53:07 +0000 UTC]
I'm the opposite. I have to say that I prefer the bliss of ignorance, because sometimes the feeling of not knowing is just as good as the feeling truth gives you. And it doesn't leave a gaping hole in your chest as often as truth does.
I know, I think it's just a fact that nobody can understand us, or any person, as much as we understand ourselves, and even then, how much do we really know ourselves? Sometimes I still don't understand why I do the things I do, and I hate myself because of the actions I have done in the past.
It's hard to simplify anything in life. Algebra is incredibly easy compared to life. Life is one big conundrum. What is right, what is wrong, who sets the moral standards anyway? Can't we live our lives the way we want to, without rules restricting us? Without cookie-cutter stereotypes that we have to fit into?
