You're a LIAR. You did not "paint" that picture of Robin Williams. You simply added a painted filter to someone elses photograph. Here is proof: the original, overlayed at 50% opacity over your"painting". You're a stupid asshole.

Since you're not satisfied leaving your comment in one place to be responded to, I'll give you the response here as well. By the way, there is no need to be discourteous and throw around insults, particularly if you want to have your criticism taken seriously.
Obviously, I used a photo reference.
However, this is no 'painterly filter'. If you look at the piece, you will see that the direction of the strokes is quite intentional and specific to the subject. The strokes in the hair follow the flow of the hair, the strokes on the face follow the contours appropriately. On the sides of the nose, the strokes are diagonal in either direction, dependent on the actual shape. The strokes on the forehead are more horizontal, curving diagonally downward on the ends, following the physical form being represented. The strokes in the background are very intentionally done in a circular pattern, bringing the focus to the center of the image. I also intentionally made his pupils larger, in order to enhance the psychological effect when one sees the eyes. Also, clearly I've chosen a different palette for the image than the tones of the original photograph. My set is much more saturated and warm, also for very intentional effect.
You will not find any filter or 'push-a-button' effect that follows contours and forms correctly.
This is indeed a digital painting.
Yes, the image is very close in form to the original photograph, that's pretty much the purpose of painting a portrait (in semi-realism, at least).
I think if you compare them closely you will actually find many flaws and differences between them.

I find it terribly unfortunate that a person as well spoken as yourself, finds the need to continue to lie about this. I've looked at the quality of your other work, and in conjunction with the exact image superimposed with filter, this is just terribly disheartening.
Whatever.

It does seem like it is a photoshop filter, ive used the filter before and it does look similar. I call bs.
