That's a fantastic essay. I feel like I should share this with people.
When I got to the part about humans liking to work and most assignments in school having no purpose, I immediately thought about my desire to take classes that actually produce things (Art and Video Production, mostly; I considered Metal Fabrication and Woodshop but didn't actively pursue them)
I hope that the school system gets overhauled someday.

I'm really glad you liked it. It echoed a lot of stuff that I felt while I was in highschool, and hell, even during bits of college. I think what gets me is that I feel like I know this stuff internally, and that I always did, but that I was being forced into 'it's your hormones!' and all this.
It's frustrating. It's like everyone who set up the school system doesn't remember BEING a teenager. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only person who has a memory that goes back beyond 5 years.

I think one of the iffy guys behind us (for some reason, we always sat in the back of the bus) was smoking in the bathroom while we were stopped (no idea) and couldn't think of a better place to hide the cigarette butt than in the pocket of a jacket left on a seat by the kid that has a hard time hearing people, and then hung it over the back of the seat.
I wondered why I could faintly smell cigarette smoke when I put it on later.

That is kind of incredibly gross. If that was the case, I wonder why it was so hard to step out of the bus and smoke. I feel all crusade-y about it, like, 'Hey, don't fuck with people I like, smoke-y guy! 
Also, I can't find my camera cord, but that picture we took in the bus station ... you're like growling or something, and half my head is missing. So I think something about us together is like a black hole of decent photography.
