Thanks so much for the faves on my hat and spats tutorials! If you use either of them, I'd love to see what you make. ^_^

You were very helpful for me. I just bought a Brother Se400 yesterday, but made my decision after reading your posts and also, bought the same thread from threadart! Your information was very informative and helpful! I decided to buy an embroidery machine to do just what you are doing with the plushies. Yours are wonderful and it has inspired my son to want to learn to sew and make them as well. Okay, well, he just wants to make one to give to a girl, but whatever the reason, I am thrilled he wants to sew!

Total awesomeness! Glad to hear.
Just wish SophieSew 2 would release so I can update my tutorials for that.

Β I know, saw that yesterday that it wasn't ready yet. Any software suggestions for converting a gif or jpeg?

Not any that cost less than $300. I've heard of Embird, Stitch Era,Β and Brother's PE Design, but have never really used them. I trace all mine in SophieSew directly.

I did find this trial of Sew Art sandscomputing.com/Application...Β for Win32 and sandscomputing.com/Application...Β for Win64.
I have not used SofieSew as of yet. I downloaded it yesterday.
Are you able to open a jpeg of gif in SofieSew to be able to trace?

Ah, I've heard of that too.
Yes, you can open a .jpg to trace. Not sure about a .gif, but probably.
