Hey nice work! I see you've shot at the lofts over on Cermak. Did Mike hook you up?

Sorry, I haven't logged on here in a bit. Yes, this was at 500 West Cermak, but it was when Jim Jurica was still there (I rented the studio, and we spent almost no time in it at all )

All the stuff in my gallery here except for a couple of the black and white pieces (Neuschwanstein Castle, etc) were shot on a Canon EOS 30D DSLR (which has now been superceded by the new 40D).

Great idea! I got some very good advice from a professional photographer a while back - put more of your money into your lenses starting out. Your digital camera (30D, 400D, whatever) will probably be worth very little in 5 years or so. However your lenses will probably last 15 years or more if they're taken care of - way longer than your camera will probably even be operable.
Canon 'L' grade lenses are expensive, but hold about 80-85% of their value if they're in good condition, so look at them as an investment. If times get hard you can always sell one or two off and get a good deal of the money back if its a popular lens. Also, there are a number of outfits that will rent lenses for days or weeks at a time for a reasonable price, so you can test a lens out before you spend the money to actually buy it.

Thanks Yes, the gallery is perhaps a bit incongruous overall... Typically what I have put into the gallery here is but one or two images of a large set of photos.
It would be nice if DA would allow us to have more control over how our galleries are sorted and displayed (subfolders would be nice...)
