# About me

The type of doll I specialize in is the Bunka Ningyo (culture doll). Bunka dolls were famous between Taishô (1912-1926 ) and early Shôwa period ( 1927-1937 ). Traditional ones always wear red as it was thought to protect children from any misfortune. I saw them online about a year ago and have obsessed over them ever since. However, it wasn't until last November that I made my very first one and I was totally hooked! I've been sewing them ever since and loving every minute of it. ^_^ I also love looking at the bunka dolls other people have made. They're always different as each artist has their own style, I love it!

It's hard to figure things like that out, you just have to shop around for shipping prices and try and figure up how much time you spend working on something and add in the price for fabrics and other materials. It might take a couple of tries to get the right prices but just keep at it and eventually you will come to a price that's fair to both you and the customer. ^^ You can also google how to decide prices for handmade crafts.
