Your universe seems so fun to write. I liked the practical weaknesses. Especially the sound vulnerability. I am legally blind at a distance over 14 inches so I have ended up using my sense of hearing to navigate and keep track of people a lot of the time. As a result I cannot stand loud noises. Umbricus is by far my favorite.
