haha... the piercing is no comparison to getting a tattoo!! Tattoos hurt much worse. Well, not necessarily worse, but deffinately differently.
I think the four hours on my chest were deffinately worse than those measley little piercings!

MY avatar is my tattoo (Guess where it is)? I fell asleep during the process (NO drugs); it covers up an old ugly jailhouse tat.

my ears have been pierced so many times it's rediculous! Right now all I have are my lobes stretched, double conch at 12 gauge, and an industrial at 14.

U do know that if u keep them stretched like that U will end up with stretched out FOREVER; I'd think about that one - you won't be young forever either

haha.... Yeah, I know. I doubt that they would ever really grow back fully at this point, anyway. I plan on going much larger; I'm pretty into heavier mods anyway, and have started thinking about some more.. I guess "intense" stuff like scarrification and more surgical procedures.
I dunno... my friends all think I'm crazy, but I love it! Besides, it's not like I can just get rid of my tattoos, you know? Having my ears stretched is just who I am, and it's a part of me; just as I wouldn't want to get rid of my tattoos, I don't want to get rid of my stretched lobes (I'm actually planning to go much larger...)

hahaha... I'm probably one of those people, then! Scarrification is basically flesh removal. You can go to [link] and look it up in their encyclopedia; one really famous artist is Brian Decker of Pure Body Arts in NYC.
I don't really see it as "going too far," though... You should try to find yourself a copy of the movie Modify; in an interview with Lizzardman (I'm sure you're familiar with him; he looks like a lizzard...), he states that modifying your body is more like a specturm, with some people at one end, some in the middle, and some on the other end.... does that make sense?
