# About me
I draw, obviously. I read a lot. I would play video games, but my 360 went to the Great Beyond (trash can). Guess it was scared to literal death when it found out Skyrim was coming, after Oblivion's long years of overworked abuse. I watch Bleach and Fairy Tail and not much else, not counting all the Nick Jr I'm forced to put up with. :/ I love anything to do with Star Wars , vampires (including Twilight, you haters!), mythology, comic book characters (dont read comics, though), Anime/Manga and various other stuff... Dragons are awesome!!!I am the co-founder of Anime-Manga-Blade , a group for anyone who loves Anime and Manga! Check it out!
I am also the founder of a new group, Bleach-Rebellion , which is basically a big rebel army of Bleach fans looking for a more "free society" art group than the "oppressive, judgmental "evil empire" types out there. ^^

Good job on the lion. Only thing I can suggest is finding you light source and add some darker shades to the areas away from the light to give some dimension. You can also add some dark streaks to the fur in places and such. Practice will help. But good job! Glad I could help

thanks a lot i appreciate it. lighting i've always found difficult to do. i can easily visualize it but its not the same as having an actual reference to look and study and a lot of the ways i learn lighting i've found it difficult to incorporate. do you have any suggestions on how to deal with that? also yeah some dark streaks would look pretty good. i definitely plan to practice more on shading and blending

I've got to work this morning, but if I get a chance this afternoon, ill see if I can come up with a simple sketch to explain lighting. No promises on if it will be useful. A lot of factors affect lighting, so it might not help much. Best I can do is try.

it will be helpful. i tend to be resourceful and i often compare different sources to make sense of things. not only that but it creates connections i haven't considered, so i'd appreciate the lighting tip

haha it really is. i enjoy digital as much as the next guy but considering how many people here tend to play at digital just to be seen, not all of them but you can tell who, and how it looks and feels to use traditional i just have a preference to it. i do have to ask how did you get your shading to that quality? I can say i have a good ability on getting the shapes down but depth is still a skill i lack a thorough understanding

I don't really know how I do it. I just taught myself, I try to get in all the details I see in a drawing, add in what I need to, etc... I can teach you how to get shades, but how to apply them, I can't explain. It's kinda just experience. I draw and shade how I see things. Sorry. I'm not a great teacher, never had one o_O lol

Wow you have no idea how much of a relief this makes it. for some strange reason a part of me thinks i have to learn from school how to draw but along with drawing traditionally i want to be an artist that started from scratch. high school art doesn't really count imo. i'm just incredibly encouraged that if you can draw this good on your own then i have a pretty good chance. though i am interested in your way of shading

I'll have to see if I still have my "shading lessons" in my notes. If I do, i'll send them to you. It's basically just a step-by-step instruction on how to get various shades from a pencil and layer them. Like I said, though, you have to apply them your own way.
