hi just some news: i haven't forgotten my promise and i will send you the result, but it's longer than i was thinking ^^.
In fact , i found not difficult to have ideas and the text structure have come easily but what i find hard is to DARE to write it:
When i write something i have the feeling to be more direct than with images.I can't hide me behind my text as i do with images, the text is a direct way to have a view of me , and it's what i'm facing currently.
But it's an interesting experience and i thank you for that.

That's ok, take as much time as you need. I'm currently going through the hectic last few weeks of uni (everything is due all at once) so I'll be distracted for a little while yet. (:
I've never really tried to express myself through other media, so I've never really thought to compare the differences; if one would make me feel more exposed or not, etc. I try to manipulate my words so that my meaning or intent is not always obvious, so that I don't feel I am exposing myself too much. Course, I'm not sure I'm any good at it.
I think maybe that's an experiment I should undertake! (:

And yes, I don't do much other than write. Some poetry is connected to other pieces, but most of it is just introspection or exploration of myself and my ideas.

yes as you say i do visual art like 90% of DA (however i'm also musician you can find my work on my DA profile).
I can write but i don't want to do that with other languages than my native language which is french, when i do poetry it comes in french, and i can't change that.So keep writing because few people dares to only do that, it's difficult to be seen with this way of expression on DA.

It's difficult being poetic in a different language unless you are proficient at it. Is any of your poetry posted to dA? I can try deciphering it, I studied a bit of french but all I remember are phrases that you don't normally learn in a classroom 
And yeah, it's easier to engage people with a visual piece than with writing.

Sure, although I can't guarantee I'll understand it all, I'll give it a go. We've been reading some Ronsard and du Bellay in my Renaissance Literature class recently and it seems that my skills haven't rusted too terribly, although the poems we read were relatively simple. Focus on your student exams and send them to me whensoever you like (:

I have to admit the article I mentioned was an evolutionary 'persepective' of sorts, but it's interesting to look at it from a social perspective as well, and how it's so entrenched in the way we function as a society. So many imaginary boundaries we put everywhere. If people still make a big deal of it, it will still be a big deal.
