Instead of traditional commissions you just make content exclusive for your backers on Patreon who auto donate an amount to you either: monthly/ whenever you put up content. Like if I gave you $3 a month to see some sketches (if you choose monthly) and shell out some more for that ~exclusive~ hypothetical chapter of your webcomic that comes out whenever.
Its like a cross between a magazine subscription and kickstarter.
